Why did Obama release his BC today?
(1) Governor Palin has been beating him like a rented mule over Libya, oil prices, and the economy
(2) Donald Trump was driving his poll numbers into the ground and he needed to call his bluff
(3) So nobody pays attention to Bernanke's press conference
Folks, you gotta remember that Obama is trained in Saul Alinsky/radical left-wing tactics. He's going to do anything and everything to save his @ss. The BC was our trump (no pun intended) card for 2012. But noooo, the Donald had to jump in and flap his gums about it non-stop. Now the issue is off the table.

Yep..and it's all about discrediting Obamas credibility.....if Trump can keep knocking away at 'the wall' Obama, the Demorates and media-rats have built around him...it will fall. Regardless if Trumps wrong or not..he presents the suspicions remarkably well and lets no grass grow under his feet. "The little foxes spoil the vine".
I think for Trump to pursue the BC issue now would be like trying to get blood from a stone. I think he’s planted a lot of seeds of doubt in people, so to go further with it would be counter-productive. It’s not a TKO, but he did land some body blows, now it’s on to the next phase, hitting him on his policies.

I don’t think it was our trump card, and it shouldn ‘t be. This is the kind of thing that perks in the background and does damage. If we don’t get the deficit under control, the coming economic pain will make this a forgotten issue.
BO may have thrown the stones, let’s see how many birds he kills. He also did so at a price, one of which is that he took the bait, the other is the request to see the rest of his records. It remains to be seen what the fallout is.

That makes no sense at all. Since he has a valid one, it was a loser and Obama was going to try and use it during the election campaign to discredit Republicans.
Now, that issue is off the table and he can't deflect attention from record during the election.
Donald Trump is the one looking like the biggest winner by forcing Obama to show it. He looks strong, Obama looks weak.
Trump is the big winner on the issue for forcing Obama to show records he didn't want to show and should have showed three years ago.
Now, Trump has leverage to force him to show other records he doesn't want to show.
4)He's on Oprah's show today. I'm sure Oprah will be gushing all over him for this.

Don’t see how this helps him with anything other than the media stopping the BC coverage? Looks more like he blinked and Trump is going to go after the transcripts now.

I agree with you, but I also get the sense that they responded to Trump to avoid responding to Palin. This admin has a habit of making a big deal about the easy stuff and trying to ignore the big issues.

The Republican establishment, along with the Democrat establishment, are trying to keep the “natural born” ineligibility issue out of the mainstream media, as it describes a conspiracy that the entire Congress, every Judge and lawyer in the nation, know about and are covering up.
Once one is elected to any elected government job, one’s primary focus becomes the continuity of government and maintaining some semblance of order in society. It stands to reason that any high crimes and misdemeanors that reach a proportion that could truly cause severe discontent with government and involve a significant enough portion of the governmental power base become issues that the governmental power base has a fundamental interest in keeping out of the public awareness.
The distraction issue which was put to use by the Democrat machine very early on - most ingeniously - is the birth certificate issue. The Republican power base must have been brought in on the scheme once it became apparent that there was a real possibility of obama being elected. The BC issue makes a wonderful smokescreen for the political machine.
The BC issue, as a conspiracy-type issue, has produced it’s own dedicated following which inherently lacks credibility simply because it is a conspiracy theory, and conspiracy theories are always relegated tinfoil hat status. Since the BC conspiracy issue is so turbulent, it creates the necessary volume of confusion and debate to serve as an excellent distraction from the real conspiracy, the ineligibilty under the “natural born” requirement.
I think that Trump is being quickly and completely rejected today by the mainstream Republican power base as well as the Democrat power base and this simply proves that he either took off on this on his own or his actions were a service provided to the reelection of nobama - either knowingly or unknowingly. Since the release of the latest BC copy has seen his Presidential hopes shrinking rapidly, and that was highly predictable, it would seem that the latter was the case, since the only ones who would know when the BC copy was going to be released were the nobama reelection machine, and the Trump activities can be used to great effect by the mainstream media to try once again to brand any and all discussion of eligibility as lunacy long before the election in 2012. Not so much to get nobama elected again, but to maintain the wall of silence around the “natural born” ineligibility issue.
The mainstream media - including Fox - is making every attempt to caste any and all BC or birther talk as complete lunacy today.
Today’s actions have the earmarks of an extremely well-planned and orchestrated effort to have the “natural born” conspiracy buried completely for decades and - most importantly - to have any and all persons talking about “natural born” branded as lunatics for once and for all so that the “masses” will never listen to them again.
Pushing the “natural born” ineligibility issue solely as word-of-mouth and building grassroots understanding of the issue is the only and optimal way to produce a pressure which will build over time to something enormous.
Trying to convince judges, Congressman or media will do no good, as they will continually grind the speaker or writer into the ground, muddling them in with birther “lunatics” and simply talking over and not listening to the “natural born” concept, which they are all too aware of and afraid of. Just like the banker in the ally bank commercial.
Don’t forget - amazingly - the proof of “natural born” ineligibility - his father’s lack of U.S. citizenship at the time of his birth....

This is like a novel it’s such a classic “hoodwinking” of the “masses”.
It seems to me that Obama was forced to acknowledge something in his past as being an issue. He free rided into office without having to answer ONE single question about his past. Now a freaking reality TV host asks the questions and gets the results that the MSM and the John McLames (by the way, is John Boner a clone or is it me?) of the world simply would not or could not bring themselves to ask.
Whether the certificate is real or not, this entire episode represents something much bigger than a mere piece of paper. It is really about a larger question more and more Americans are aksing. Why is he not one of us? By not one of us, we mean, American? Why are his policies and beliefs so at odds with the foundations of this country? Even those who think the whole BC issue is a bit “black helicopter” were increasingly willing to believe Obama was not born here. “Hey, no wonder this guy is so alien to us, he was not born or raised here.”
This is why his poll numbers on this were tanking and he had to respond to it. Having caved here, Obama will find that he is in trouble. Even those who accept it as an authentic document will ask for more background documents. If you gave us your BC, then where is your transcripts, where his your thesis, etc? Furthermore, the manner in which he released and treated this document will only add further questions. The MSM is apoplectic, their best efforts to provide perpetual cover have been blown by a guy who is called “the Donald.”
I just wonder how long it will take the ministry of propaganda (the MSM) to realize that they did no favors by not vetting the ONE. All was sunshine and roses when he ran on “Hope and Change.” The voters could have cared the less about his past. He was everything to everyone promising all to anyone. Now that he has a record and has proven himself at odds with the American people (pick an issue: healthcare, cap and tax, immigration, trials for terrorists, foreign policy) and nothing to anyone expect radical leftists, the American people are demanding answers and willing to believe the worst about this guy. His background is an open book that, since nobody has filled it in, guys like Trump are free to do so.
