Lt. Col. Lakin free in less than 3 weeks

Friends of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin are hoping a few hundred people will show up to greet the jailed military doctor when he's released from prison and returns to Baltimore, Md., on May 14.

Dr. Terry Lakin, an Army doctor who refused to deploy again to Afghanistan when his chain of command refused to verify that Obama legitimately is president, has been serving a six-month term at Ft. Leavenworth in Kansas.

Be the first to get the new eligibility book signed by Jerome Corsi and help get TV commercials on the air to bust this issue wide open!

A website has been established to coordinate the welcome event, which convenes at 10:15 a.m. at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Organizers are asking supporters to preregister their planned attendance – to coordinate with airport security – and to come with small U.S. flags and homemade posters thanking Dr. Lakin for his stand.

"We need a big hurray and lots of applause," the website states. "He may say a few words. Then we'll get him to his luggage, to his car and home."

While in prison, Dr. Lakin remains under the Uniform Code of Military Justice but has been allowed to post online a series of observations he's made while serving his time. Those private communications to the Terry Lakin Action Fund suggest that his focus remains on the foundations of the nation and the rights and responsibilities of its citizens.

He's commented on the physical workouts he's enjoyed, his work, his cell and other issues, according to the action fund, which is the organization that has been raising money to pay the monthly bills for Lakin's family while he serves his term.

Lakin's support team said it has been able to supply donated funds for most needs during Lakin's absence.

Didn’t you follow this, or at least, read the article? He did take his concerns through the chain of command.

You might want to read the thread. or at least my post that he was responding to.

No slimeball. I am a former soldier and Marine who joined for my country - not a President. I wrote a blank check to Sam for my life. BTW, send your insensitive comment to a Gold Star family who lost a son or daughter.

He wasn’t able to attend the predeployment course required for deploying doctors.

As a private employer in the private market, if one of my employees told me that they would not be fulfilling a business responsibility, I would make other arrangements. I would **especially** do this, if I knew well in advance that this was a likely possibility.

So?....Were the higher level military officers stalling on making other arrangements merely to score political points and jeopardizing the safety of their men to make those points? ( just wondering)

Not sure what they were doing but according to the article it wasn’t until a couple of weeks to deployment that he was given the final notice to go. Seems there was some thought that Lakin may still go but as we now know Lakin didn’t make the departure.

Maybe you were, and maybe you weren’t. Whatever you were or are, you act like a troll and post like a troll, with basically no posting history and a signup date of more than 2 years ago, and think that a foreign born president, such as Putin, would be fine.

Little Jeremiah, this is my final post on this issue. Our last encounter was two years ago on this same subject. It is a freerepublic, therefore, respect my opinion, and I will respect yours. Let it be. In reference to Putin, did you see my previous post that I was being sarcastic. The problem I have with your responses is you come off with a little man complex. The reason I do not post on FR that much is because I have a life. It is sad and cowardly that you hide behind the internet - tossing troll comments. You are a very insecure and lonely individual. I am done.

Two year history, handful of posts, supports foreign president.

I am not a man.

Of course you realise that is impossible or you wouldn’t have asked it. He is an experienced combat surgeon that did not go into combat as ordered. Doesn’t take much figuring out, does it?

Why? It’s the same thing, just from a different location.

Why couldn’t he have refused to leave the combat zone for the same reason? It would have made a much bigger impact.

I don’t think it was the honorable thing to do. Why couldn’t he refuse deployment by not returning to the US and staying there, doing the job he was paid and swore to do?

Lakin tried to deploy because he realized he made a mistake. It was too late. His advice to other soldiers - “Don’t do it.”

There is a shortage. Also, you have to look at the specialty. The Senate is looking into this.

To be honest, if I could attend college I would have never enlisted. My parents could not afford it. I don’t regret it. I do regret not doing the twenty. Other than that, I have a good life.

"I am a former soldier and Marine who joined for my country..."

What country would that be?

He knew what he had to do and when he had to do it. When you walk in his shoes and attain his status - then you get to do it your way, if at all.

Col Lakin is a PATRIOT! He gave us a lot to do the right thing - totally unselfish. He’s about Our Constitution and not about himself.
