The lone Republican in the Hawaii State Senate told a radio interviewer today he believes "the real issue" stopping Barack Obama from releasing his long-form birth certificate is something the president has to hide, perhaps even the name of his actual birth father.
Hawaii State Sen. Sam Slom further told the host of "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on WABC 770 AM in New York City that so long as Obama refuses to be transparent about his past, questions about the president's birth remain "a legitimate issue."
"My particular point of view – and why I haven't identified myself as a 'birther,' per se – is that [Obama] probably was born [in Hawaii] and that the real issue is not the birth certificate, but what's on the birth certificate," Slom told Klein.
Asked what that could be, Slom said, "It could have to do with what his name is on the birth certificate, who is actually listed as his father, the citizenship of the father."
He continued, "My belief is that there is a birth certificate, he was born here, but that there is information that for reasons known only to him he doesn't want released. If it were just the birth certificate, that would be one thing, but it's his school records, it's employment records. … Why would anybody, let alone the president of the United States, spend millions of dollars in legal fees to keep that hidden?"

If a baby is born in a hospital, the unusual procedure is to have the mother fill out the application for the baby's birth certificate the next day while she is in the hospital. So regardless of where Obama was born and who the real daddy is, Stanley Ann could have put any guy down as the father. I do not think that Barrack Sr. is the daddy, but Stanley Ann may have used his name not knowing of the handicaps such use would later cause.

I think this is the correct analysis. If his father is not Barack Obama Senior, that would show that the book "Dreams of My Father" is a complete and total sham and falsehood, that Barack has managed to parley into a political career and the Presidency.
This would destroy his Presidency, the Democrat party and the news media, if correct.

I think this has been gone through numerous times. The HIPAA law forbids the release of any such information, on pain of large fine and/or prison time. I've linked to the HIPAA law numerous times - here it is again. Note the penalties:
Criminal Penalties. A person who knowingly obtains or discloses individually identifiable health information in violation of the Privacy Rule may face a criminal penalty of up to $50,000 and up to one-year imprisonment. The criminal penalties increase to $100,000 and up to five years imprisonment if the wrongful conduct involves false pretenses, and to $250,000 and up to 10 years imprisonment if the wrongful conduct involves the intent to sell, transfer, or use identifiable health information for commercial advantage, personal gain or malicious harm.
And no, however often someone says it, directory data does not apply to someone discharged over 40 years ago.
This is worth noting for those who are on to the Natural Born Citizen issue. WE REALLY DON'T KNOW FOR SURE WHO OBAMA'S FATHER IS AND HE COULD BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.
As far as I know, all we really have about the real father is the newspaper announcement, the phony COLB and Obama's book. Do we really trust any of those sources?

You do know about his taxes on his Chicago house, don't you? There are three people listed as owners but he and Moochelle aren't any of them. There's a woman living in the guest house who supposedly owns the guest house. The other two are his attorney and some corporation (the O's might be that) which is acting as a hedge. The other owners are paying the mortgage but he deducted it on his income tax and he also claimed the property tax deduction. Throw in the monkey business with the Tony Rezko with the sale of the house itself and later with the adjacent property and it's Chicago at it's finest. It's good to be king, huh.
Which is why they're all laughing and have no respect for him.
