Same on Yahoo! where they have animation of a globe being inflated like a balloon.

Same thing on Yahoo.
It’s okay though, Jesus will be around long after earth day is an ignored date.

Sadly, most worship the creation rather than the Creator.

Choose this day whom you will serve. (To not choose is to choose.)

I have no use for Earth Day, but Google representing Good Friday is wrought with peril. Google can’t do solemn. That said, it is in bad taste to “celebrate” “Earth Day” at all. Yesterday I wrote a message to a media company letting them know why I was unsubscribing to their alerts. It had to do with their big “Earth Day” promotion.

I’m always surprised when these threads come up because I’m surprised people still actually go to Google’s homepage.

I don’t think either Google or Yahoo mention religious holidays of any kind, unless there is a secular celebration at the same time. Doesn’t bother me, because I celebrate them at my Parish, so whether or not an ‘international’ organization mentions Jesus is irrelevant.

Umh ... google is a global company not a christian company. There are about 7 billion souls on this planet and only about 2.1 billions are christians. But all of googles global customers usually spend life on this planet. So i don’t see any problem here.

Good Friday: Google The World In General Celebrates Earth, Ignores Jesus

I think the state of the world today, is pretty well described in the words below:

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock Rev 3:20 (Jesus kicked out but keeps knocking on the door to see if somebody will let Him in)
You say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; Rev 3:17 (How people today see themselves and why they feel no need for God)
but you don't know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked Rev 3:17 (How God sees people today (the way things REALLY are)).

Doesn’t surprise me about Google. But I was pleasantly surprised when I visited a website this morning and saw their logo reflected Good Friday and Easter...it’s subtle, but it’s there.

http://www.centralvacuumstores.com/

Also surprising was that my son called and had the day off. He works for a large corporation and Good Friday is one of their paid holidays. I didn’t know companies did that anymore.

Liberals only celebrate that which can destroy the US economy.

Earth day, yes let’s not pollute the earth even though man on earth has the potential of polluting the earth like an amoeba has the potential of body slamming a whale. 5000 trillion metric tons of atmosphere 80 miles high, oh yes we can affect that. The percentage of CO2 is 0.04% which is zero point zero.

If we try hard enough running every car and factory 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the next 1000 years maybe we can get that level up to 0.05% which would still be zero point zero, because as we all know a level of zero point zero is extremely dangerous.

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away...

Rev 21:1

I'm waiting on the upgrade.

I honestly do not get why some people have a chip on their shoulders about what Google chooses to do with their freaking logo. I guess every other problem in the world has been solved if this is what we have left to complain about.

Yeah, it’d be so much better if Google cheapened the death of Christ by putting a cartoon cross in place of the ‘L’ in their name. Y’all are crazy. Grow up.
