If gas prices were on a train right now it would definitely be riding the President’s high speed rail. Steve posted on this in March when gas was around $3. The we told you a week ago that gas prices (then $3.90) were headed in this direction and got no interest from callers. Something tells me gas will soon be center stage. CNBC thinks so … so do others. Obama video below the fold.

Weakness in the US currency feeds upward pressure on commodities, which are priced in dollars and thus come at a discount on the foreign markets.
One result has been a surge higher in gasoline prices to nearly $4 a gallon before the summer driving season even starts, a trend that economists say will be aggravated as demand increases and the summer storm season threatens to disrupt oil supplies.

Oil is a global commodity. Most of the oil we use is imported from outside our borders. We are tied to the global price, not the other way around.
I guarantee you we will see $6.50 for gas and 1/2 of America will still say MuBarak needs more time to do his job.

I filled up my gas tank yesterday @$4.50 a gallon. I could actually hear the ruffling of paper as my car sucked $100 bucks out of my pocket.

But I do not see it as far as I am concerned, and a few weeks ago I was at a mall in Eastern CT, and never once I have seen ANYONE who was from the TSA. Regulare mall security yes, but that was about it, no TSA. Plus never heard of anything to the likes.

We would suffer a lot if this happens to gas because we have to travel 5 hour round trip commute several times a week.

Lost it today listening to Rush play clips of uhbama LYING to our American kids during the facebook crap.
I despise uhbama for his lies and arrogance.
Hearing his voice makes me sick, seeing his ugly face makes me even sicker.
Not surprised if uhbama sees all of us as the slug that he is...he knows we are a dumbed down lot because he knows he has no business being the president; yet was able to fool a bunch of people in this nation in order to get the votes.
To uhbama: lying = votes.
I really do think the breaking point is coming soon and it could come in the form of anger over rising gasoline prices. I had heard even this past weekend that somewhere in New Jersey there was a protest over the rising costs of gasoline. That could very well be a preview of what is to come.
He is looking for votes and in truth, his numbers are getting less and less positive.
The next revolution is three missed meals away.
