President Trump

President Trump? Hey, at this point in the game almost anybody would bebetter than Barrack Hussein Obama as president in 2012.

Yeah, yeah. I know. Everybody and his uncle’s brother are trashing Trump right now.

That is, everybody from the right. The Left is mostly silent because The Donald scares the crap out of them, and they can see that the Right’s doing their dirty work for them anyway.

Levin, O’Reilly, whoever – they’re all whimpering and whining that Donaldisn’t pure. He’s a RINO. He donated to some Democrats.

He endorsed some Democrats. So what? That just means Trump isn’t the consummate politicalinsider – a member of the political class more interested in buying enough votes to perpetuate their Imperial position than in doing what’s right for our country.

Is The Donald as conservative as I would like? No. Do I agree with Trump on all the issues? No. But here are Trump’s positives: He’s a straight shooter, a political outsider, fearless, has no ideological ax to grind, isn’t intimidated by the Marxist-media, doesn’t need the wealth or fame of elected office, loves the United States and cares about its future.

The Donald also realizes there’s a whole bunch of folks who’re disenchanted with The Obama and who’re very frustrated that no one has had the guts or ability to take Obama on in a no-holds-barred mano-a-mano brawl. Trump knows that the GOP has been too meek, too polite, and too scared to engage Obama in a knock-down, drag-out fight.

People can say whatever they want about Trump, but he’s the first person to effectively proclaim that Emperor Obama has no clothes, no U.S. birth certificate no college grades, no history, no nothing. ...I say effectively I mean that Trump has challenged the lickspittle-media……

People always change when put in more responsible positions. You can’t rely on his past donations or what he said....it will change when/if he’s the President.

“He donated to some Democrats”

He donated to Clinton. Trump is for me a non-starter.

At least in the primary. In the general? ABO!

You're being a bit unkind to Timmy. It's said that he throws a mean marshmallow.

People are doing just what they did for Obama and Perot and some others — they are ignoring the warning signs and reading into him what they want to see.

Excuse me, there is no getting around:
A: universal health care
B: wealth tax
C: big government as solution as a life long reflex
D: pro union
E: trade tariffs
F: reaching across the aisle is a good thing.

If you like all of those things, that’s your right and that’s fine. But that doesn’t strike me as FREEPish.

Yes, but who'll be his vp? Hillary?
If he's getting the fast track here, I'd like to know who'll be second in charge.

has no ideological ax to grind,

So what is the point, then, of conservatives supporting him for president?

Four years ago Trump was saying that George W. Bush was the worst President ever. Doesn't sound like much of a Republican. Recently he has been saying that he always used to say that Carter was the worst President ever but now thinks Obama is. In other words, he is lying and hoping no one notices. Just the other day he was trashing George W. Bush again.

It's hard to predict these things at this point but it seems to me more likely Trump will help get Obama re-elected rather than help see to it that he is a one-term President.

So much time, energy and hot air spent on The Donald and he is NOT even running for president. How much would all this publicity have cost NBC and The Donald if they had had to pay for it? I’d be completely shocked to see him actually step up, disclose his financial’s and actually run for the Presidency.

Getting him nominated as Dem might do the trick. I will vote for him over all of current Republican contenders. Keep in mind that the Donald made a sizable investment in 0’s background investigation, and something tells me that will pay off.

Why don’t you people who are hatin’ on Trump save it for THE OTHER PARTY instead?

Just sayin...

Why don’t we remember who the real enemy is?

“Four years ago Trump was saying that George W. Bush was the worst President ever. Doesn’t sound like much of a Republican. Recently he has been saying that he always used to say that Carter was the worst President ever but now thinks Obama is.”

Opinions all.

“In other words, he is lying and hoping no one notices. Just the other day he was trashing George W. Bush again.”

Opinions can change, and it doesn’t make you a liar. Look I don’t support Trump, I have a real problem supporting populists that say inflamatory things just to get attention, but people ARE entitled to change an opinion or two without being branded a liar.

And as far as GWB being the worst POTUS ever? I am as conservative as the next Freeper but that man has GOT to be at least in the bottom three. George Bush is to conservatism what garlic is to vampires!

Do you consider the Reid vs Angle race in 2010 to be the distant past, when you assert that we can't rely on his past donations?

“Why don’t we remember who the real enemy is?”

What we are discussing is who our friends are. We aren’t sure if this guy is our friend or just an elitist opportunist searching for his next ego boost.

A guy who ideologically supports:
Wealth Tax
"Universal" Healthcare provided by the government
Kelo Decision - enabling government confiscation of private property for transfer to private commercial ventures
Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton

pretty much sounds like THE OTHER PARTY to me.
