Birther Czar Joseph Farah: I've Been Talking To Donald Trump 'Quite A Bit'
Talking Points Memo ^ | April 14, 2011 | Jillian Rayfield

Posted on 04/14/2011 6:25:59 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Looks like Donald Trump is taking his birtherism to the next level -- by soliciting advice from birther czar Joseph Farah.

Kendra Marr of Politico reports that Farah says he and Trump talked every day this week, and he has been advising Trump on the basics of birtherism. "We've have been speaking quite a bit," Farah said.

Since he started maybe-running for president, Trump has repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of President Obama's U.S. birth. Conspiracy theories about Obama's birth certificate have been repeatedly debunked, but that hasn't stopped Trump from speculating that the President's grandparents planted a birth announcement in a Hawaii newspaper to get government benefits like welfare and hospitalization.

According to Marr, Farah said he offered to give Trump a tutorial in birtherism once Trump started publicly asking questions about President Obama's birth certificate. "His people were very quick to respond," Farah said.

If there was any question about Trump's legitimacy as a presidential candidate, his association with Farah should answer it. As the founder and editor of the influential right-wing "news" site WorldNetDaily (WND), Farah has continued to give the birther issue oxygen, long after it was abandoned by mainstream conservatism.

This week Farah admitted WND publishes "some misinformation by columnists." Farah was responding to questions from Salon's Justin Elliott about WND's repeated (and erroneous) claim that Obama has spent $2 million on a legal team to fight the birther lawsuits, a claim that was eventually picked up by Trump.

With Trump, Farah has found someone who gets enough publicity to bring the birther issue back to the forefront. Farah wrote recently on his website: "And so it is in 2011, in the USA, when suddenly, with childlike innocence and a natural-born sense of curiosity, billionaire and would-be presidential candidate Donald Trump shouted from a media pedestal no one could ignore, 'Look, the emperor has no birth certificate!'"

Farah doesn't stop with birtherism, though. He's also questioned whether Obama is a Christian: "Here's the truth: Obama is not a Christian. He doesn't even know what it means to be a Christian."

And he's said a few inflammatory things about gay people too, comparing speaking to the gay conservative group GOProud with addressing the KKK, calling for conservatives to "purge" the movement of GOProud and gay rights supporters, and saying that "German-style Nazism was a pagan, homosexual cult."

Farah and WND have been rejected by the broader conservative movement. They were barred from holding a panel on birther issues at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2009, and haven't been welcomed back since.

This year WND ran an article theorizing that CPAC had been infiltrated by Muslims.

TPM readers may also remember that WND was behind a book about how the Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR) allegedly used interns to secretly infiltrate Capitol Hill offices, written by a man who posed as a Muslim to get an internship at CAIR. Four House Republicans picked up the claims from the book, called Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America. As Farah describes it, it exposes the "international cabal working on behalf of Saudi-style Shariah law right here in America."

Looks like Jillian Rayfield is better at creative fiction than reporting. This is the nicest way of saying Jillian is a liberal and a liar, but I repeat myself.

I would prefer we document the crap he is doing before our eyes.

I agree with that too. If you are talking about his policies, unfortunately for America all the crap he is doing is well documented in the contents of every American's wallet. And it will get worse before it gets better (if it gets better).

What we really need to do is educate and remind the American people that the republicans just took control of the House.

Nancy pelosi is already marking today as day 100 and noting the unemployment rate (trying to blame republicans for it).

The documented results of Obama are on the signs showing the price of gas at every filling station.

The funny thing is that states disqualify candidates in virtually every election. They just don’t do it consistently. The major parties get a pass and the minor parties get a lower GI.

In 2008 Socialist party candidate Roger Calero was left on some ballots and denied access on others based on the fact that he isn’t a citizen of this country.

Discredit the President’s eligibility, and all of his legislation becomes NULL AND VOID.

I think he’s ineligible but not going anywhere even with proof. Congress would spend the next year fighting over it and a backroom deal would be reached to leave him in place till the election at the very least.

Even if we get rid of him, far to many marxists are now in place and active for his removal to be enough to fix things.

>"WND makes a living selling red meat to conspiracy hungry conservatives."

No doubt. The truth is still the TRUTH. Regardless of source.

It’s just My opinion that this birther thing is a cold trail

That's what happens when the president's first executive order is sealing all his records and he hadn't yet been verified to be constitutionally eligible to be President of the United States.

The BIG question is:

What's more important? Political issues or the US Constitution?

Fact, Obama has not yet released his records that can confirm his eligibilty. If we accept this... we are accepting the fact that Arnold is clear to run also and even George Soros can run.

The new way is: "American until proved otherwise"

I say no

A bell just went off in my head. (Aagh! They’re taking me away! The voices! The voices! lol)

I’d have to look to be sure of the details, but in the HDOH Administrative Rules it mentions some amendments that are to be written on the back of the certificate, versus those that must be noted on the face of the certificate. I’m wondering if the stamp would be put on the back of the certificate if something was required to be noted on the back of the certificate.

I’ll have to look up those details.

“In 2008 Socialist party candidate Roger Calero was left on some ballots and denied access on others based on the fact that he isn’t a citizen of this country.”

I knew about that. I’ve used that example in various discussions trying to explain that it is the state’s DUTY to make sure candidates meet the qualifications for office.

I cannot fathom why all 50 states accepted the word of Nancy Pelosi.

Government money isn’t free. It is a cost that can be tallied.

The judges who say, “it’s already been released” need to enter his BIRTH CERTIFICATE in as evidence if they are going to proclaim “it’s already been released”.

Funny that so many recent and possible candidates (McCain, Obama, Romney and Jindal) all have natural born citizen issues...

It sounded so good to those who bought it....and it is likely now that those same people don’t give a rat’s a** about the fact that he is the LEAST transparent president in our history

Is Oklahoma making progress on an eligibility bill? I haven’t been keeping up with that part very well lately.

. . . . . Notice that the Index Data book with obama's entry is the only one without the official date range in the header. How do we explain that?
