That’s the most civil post I’ve ever seen.

That’s skirting the edge of civility there, Sal. The pup would say so anyway.

I hope you think I’m being civil enough for you and for all the other FReepers on the thread too.

No!

From the blog(Ludwig Von Mises Institute) CA is drilling boxes even if the owner is alive and the box rental has been paid.

The program was originally started with the intent of providing a method of handling unclaimed funds but has evolved as a revenue generating source for CA.

Wow.. ok. Thanks for the clarification.

They have shortened the time to declare the funds unclaimed and have diminished the notice requirements to enhance the amount of money going to the state.

Sometimes military families serve multi-year stints overseas... so, based on what we’re reading here, in California, they could return to find their box looted.

Nice.

State of California plans to open graves to check for gold teeth.

How about... State of California plans to mandate each resident purchase and maintain a term life insurance policy of $200K, with proceeds payable to the state upon your death.

"The people that whine and cry like small children whenever a blogger posts an excerpt and a link are losers and misfits, most likely with ugly parents ugly spouses and ugly children."

Well, Mindy, it's like this. If you click on my personal FR page, you can see a photo of me, my mom and dad, my wife, my son and a couple of our dogs. I'll leave it up yo the FReepers reading this thread to decide if we're ugly or not.

I'm also quite aware of the appearance of my compadres and I wouldn't have a problem being seen with any of them.

The only thing we're really sure of regarding you, Mindy, is that you have a penchant for highly effeminate puppies.

Oooo! Simply dripping with civility! (It's missing a couple commas, but still drips with civility!)

The war with blogpimps continues, but it is now a civil war.

Everyone should check out their state dept of treasure lists on the net...my son found for me over 5 years almost 4000 dollars. it was from an old account that I figured had about 200 dollars in it, but the company went public and the small account I had had grown. I had to sent the state proof identification...copies of marriage license, social sec. card, drivers license. It was from an old insurance policy from my husbands death about 15 years earlier...It had had no movement in over 5 years so the company sent it to the state and the state has to publish the name. What was sent to the state was only the interest on the account. 2 years ago I got the actual account. It had almost 2000 dollars in it...

That's the best kind.

I mean, why does war always have to be so violent, what with all the shooting, IEDs, mortars and rockets and stuff just exploding all the time?

I believe we can conduct a war in a most civil manner. Like extending your pinkie as you drink from the canteen. And saying "pardon me" when you drop a MOAB or launch a hellfire.

The time for more civility in war has come.

How lovely and gracious of you to apologize for your error. Of course, I completely forgive you for your rudeness, but keep in mind that I’m keeping score.

In the most civil fashion possible, of course, and I’m tellin’ Sensei.

I may be a little unclear on the “civility” concept.
