Trump gave to every politico Jane and Dick.

Trump used campaign contributions as a businesses hedge against retaliation. It’s a business practice. Most of his campaign contribution was peanuts for a Multi-billionaire. Paying off political parties and different types of candidates is insurance by placating the politicians for you and your business against them passing ‘unfair’ laws and instituting stifling regulations, or that your business is unfair.

An example. Microsoft in the 1990s tried to stay out of politics. Gates didn’t payoff the Democrat Party so the activist Clinton administration using the Janet Reno Justice Department sued Microsoft because the Windows operating system was “too successful” - for being “a monopoly”. Bill Gates learned his lessen and now pays off every Dick and Jane politico, especially giving more to the rats. A lesson that Trump instinctively knows.

Sure. What is your side? The same old. Do you think the GOP is not complicit in where we are now? Since Reagan there has been 2 Bush’s and 2 Republican Houses. Hey Buddy look at where we are. For example. Social Security has been a Cash Cow up until now. Guess what. No longer can they steal from it so now both Partys want to “Reform” it. I will keep up the sniping in the hope that a few will wake up.

Good for him! Whether he runs or not, and unlike any other public figure, Trump has demonstrated a willingness to press his reputation into service on an issue of Constitutional importance. He's over the target, taking "big guns" flak and handling himself well.

My only question is, As he educates himself on the complexity of the "birther" issues---i.e., NBC, Pelosi election fraud, SSN's, etc., etc.,---will he cave or press forward to expose his findings?

If he exposed, with documentation, what Freeper researchers already know, that alone would place him in the history books.

In my own mind, it is too soon to conceive of Trump as President. I am not convinced he will be willing to set aside his "business empire," so I am not yet willing to evaluate him as a candidate. Foremost, I want a candidate who recognizes ALL the assaults on our Constitution.

BTW, Did you see this?

GOP candidates must file with FEC to enter first 2012 debate (Huh?)

and this comment by Georgia Girl 2 (I saw a June date, but nevertheless, verified fact):

"Well that will leave Trump out because legally he cannot file until the Apprentice ends at the end of May. Fox needs to re-think this thing."

Words are cheap, deeds matter.

Trump's current rhetoric does not match up to his past deeds. He sounds like a con-man running around telling each special intrest group what they want to hear.

We have all year and into next year’s primary season to vote for which candidate we think is better. Plenty of time to evaluate and make decisions on who you or I should vote for. If he or she says what I think is correct, I’m going to give them kudos.

I will definitely vote for this fine American(no, I am not Sean Hannity) if he puts this issue to bed.

He’ll deserve it for having more bravery than any living Republican or sycophant journalist.

Our internet connection was out almost all day - just got it back - I’ve been going out of my gourd wondering if I was the only one who heard what Rush said this morning, during a long expounding on the libs and what they got themselves into with Obama. For any who want to print it out, on Rush’s site it’s in the article “Media Declares Boehner Win as Ruse to Fire Up Democrat Base” [April 11, 2011]. It’s in the 20th paragraph. Rush speaking, about Paul Krugman. Caps mine, for emphasis:

“So Mr. Krugman, you’re just like this poor guy from the Huffpo. You are realizing he never was what you thought he was. You helped create a template of a phony. You created this messiah. WE’VE GOT SOMEBODY ABOUT WHOM THERE ARE LEGITIMATE CITIZENSHIP QUESTIONS HERE SERVING AS PRESIDENT. THAT’S WHAT THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE THING MEANS. THAT’S WHAT PEOPLE ARE REALLY WONDERING ABOUT. IT’S A CITIZENSHIP ISSUE. You guys pasted up an illusion. You created a fisticious character in the image that you hold dear and now reality is showing you that you lied to yourself and everybody else, too, and now you’re asking, ‘Where’s Obama? Where’s the guy you elected?’ Hey, he was at the Lincoln Memorial Saturday. He’s gonna be making a speech Wednesday. He’s the guy. He is who you elected. You guys created a lie and you fell for your own lie.”

Maybe Rush and Trump had a confab over the weekend? Did he get an email from one of our most articulate FReepers?

He didn’t say anything more about the “legitimate citizenship questions”, but it seems he’s been giving it some serious thinking, and perhaps some serious research. I hope I’m not reading too much into it.

I, too, hope Rush looks into it. The disinformation being put out there by the actual spokesperson for the HI AG is so blatant it’s breathtaking. He’s actually trying to claim that Obama CAN’T get his long-form birth certificate to show anybody.

Yet every Hawaiian who has walked into the HDOH office and ordered their long-form knows this guy is lying thorugh his teeth. We’ve got video footage of somebody doing just that, and being told that they would receive the certified long-form in 2 weeks. Miki Booth got a certified copy of her son’s long-form less than a month ago.

These people are just blatantly lying, when the truth is available for anybody to see. They’re counting on a lot of lazy people.

I’m really hoping Rush isn’t one of them.

Who knew about this poll? I like everything The Donald is doing to *the Marxist one*. obama is Trump's rag doll____LOL.

I posted that article earlier this afternoon here.

Fox is trying to hold a debate and force the thoroughbreds into their media horse race, before the stars have gotten onto the track.

NOT happening. Screw Fox and their untimely debate.

I am tired of the scam. I helped get the Republicans back in charge of the House in the hope that they would stop the madness.

I got suspended for criticizing TTP's elected candidate's "weak" turncoat opinion yakki-di-yakking with the old GOP establishment re the b.c. issue !!!

I will definitely vote for this fine American(no, I am not Sean Hannity) if he puts this issue to bed.

And if Trump does become president, and the issue is not put to bed by then, Trump will do an internal investigation of the federal government to find who is really Obama. I can see the Gov OBots shredding everything that indicts them to avoid justice before a Trump administration takes over.

thanks; I missed that thread. Looked it over and noticed the emphasis on this:

Must meet all U.S. Constitutional requirements; and

LOL; I have a mental image-—if Trump were able to declare and participate-—of him showing up with long-form in hand.

As for Sarah Palin... she is not one to be manipulated, nor is she a react-er.

Looks like a boring debate lineup.

I hope I’m not reading too much into it.

No, I don't think so. Rush started to "toe-dip" last week, but he has never gone this far. He has been excoriated by Freepers for avoiding the issue.

Thanks for posting; had to see it for myself.

Larger excerpt:

So I read this, this has gotta be a ruse. This has to be a ruse about how the Democrats are getting shellacked here. How many of you think Obama's losing? How many of you think the Democrats are getting shellacked at every turn? Unemployment is still 9%, and it's really higher than that. Gasoline is heading up to five bucks. Housing market is a disaster. People can't find work. The opportunity for prosperity is dwindling. These guys are getting everything they want. What their misery is rooted in is a mistaken belief that Obama policies will spread happiness around, make everybody equally happy and content. It doesn't do that. It makes everybody miserable. And what these guys are unhappy about is, I mean they're staring it straight in the face. Their policies don't work.

Never in the history of the country has so much abject socialism been foisted on a culture and society at such a rapid rate. And it isn't working. And that's what's really roiling 'em. It's hilarious to hear the media tell it, you would think Obama has joined the Tea Party. Obama's celebrating the budget cuts, he's out there at the Lincoln Memorial, he's doing all this. This is not an accident and it's so far from reality that it's a ruse.

Paul Krugman in the New York Times, the president is missing. Obama is conspicuously failing. "What Have They Done with President Obama?" What happened to the inspirational figure his supporters thought they elected? "Who is this bland, timid guy who doesn't seem to stand for anything in particular?" Paul Krugman: "I realize that with hostile Republicans controlling the House, there's not much Mr. Obama can get done in the way of concrete policy. Arguably, all he has left is the bully pulpit. But he isn't even using that -- or, rather, he's using it to reinforce his enemies' narrative. ... Maybe that terrible deal, in which Republicans ended up getting more than their opening bid, was the best he could achieve." The really believe that $38 billion was more than the opening bid. They really think Obama added to the original Republican demand.

So, Mr. Krugman, you're just like this poor guy from the Huffpo. You are realizing he never was what you thought he was. You helped create a template of a phony. You created this messiah. We've got somebody about whom there are legitimate citizenship questions here serving as president. That's what the birth certificate thing means. That's what people are really wondering about. It's a citizenship issue. You guys pasted up an illusion. You created a fictitious character in the image that you hold dear and now reality is showing you that you lied to yourself and everybody else, too, and now you're asking, "Where's Obama? Where's the guy you elected?" Hey, he was at the Lincoln Memorial Saturday. He's gonna be making a speech Wednesday. He's the guy. He is who you elected. You guys created a lie and you fell for your own lie.

Now, the country's waking up to it so you somehow have to gin the left base up here to get their reelection efforts back on track 'cause you can't go back to 2008 anymore. You can't re-create those days. So the best you can do is to say poor old Obama got rolled, Boehner's a hero, the Tea Party is ruling this country and getting its way with everything it wants. (laughing) It's worse than an alternative universe. I'm telling you it's a ruse. And Boehner knows what's coming, by the way. He just this minute tweeted: "Tax hikes means more uncertainty, fewer jobs. Must cut spending. DC doesn't have revenue problems, it has spending problems." He knows what's coming. He just tweeted that.
