In the medias version of events, Dont Ask, Dont Tell (DADT) was homophobic. Critics, however, insist its harsh to frame DADT supporter and former President Clinton as a bigot and laughable to portray the Swedish military model as strategic.
Like the abortion controversy too, DADT isnt going away. Moreover, its possible that the issue will benefit conservative Republicans in the long-term, because conservative American voters have always had more faith in representative U.S. combat soldiers, than Washington legislators.
There is indeed another side to the narrative, or many sides, outside of MSNBCs newsroom, without question.

The “repeal” fails unless the House changes the UCMJ to take out the crime of sodomy. This should be fun when the media speaks to someone who understands this and explains the problem. Never having served in the military, it will take the media a while but at some point this will hit them between the eyes.
