Paul Ryan: A Swing And (Unfortunately) A Miss
The Market Ticker ^ | 04/05/2011 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 04/05/2011 12:48:05 PM PDT by misterrob

I had somewhat-high hopes.

Unfortunately, they remain unrealized. From the WSJ's Opinion Page (authored by Mr. Ryan, and as a public figure, speaking to the public, it's fair game to be analyzed in full):

Denninger’s response was petulant and unhelpful.

He has been advocating tough medicine for years. Ryan’s plan solves nothing.

Who, Ryan or Denninger? If you want to claim Denninger is engaging in idiocy then think again.

OK I am trying to read the article, but I have to think a plan to cut 4 trillion or more does something.

Is it really a cut or just a pushing of the pile of crap somewhere else?

Yes, it certainly moves things in the right direction.

This piece is nothing but childish whining. I don't see what this guy wants Ryan to do with the bucket of s@#t that he has to deal with? This proposal is mop up from what the Rats refused to do for a couple years, a budget. What the writer failed to notice is the real budget Ryan put out for '12 today. That is were the rubber is going to meet the road.

You want solutions? I've been writing on them in relationship to Health Care since the debate began. Nobody wants to have that debate in a public forum. I'm open to it - let's have at it Paul. Or anyone else, for that matter. Dylan Ratigan? Glenn Beck? Hannity? Rush? Rachel Maddow? Does anyone want to have an actual debate on the issue?

Not if they are as mindless as this pablum. BTW, why are these left wing hacks lumped with Conservatives? What is this guys angle? Notoriety?

No it doesn't. Among other things it will never happen.

You are right rob, Denninger blows.

Each time Ryan makes a statement, your blow boy simply says, no no no no, that will never happen.

Well, if every thing that Ryan says they are going to do, Denninger says that they won't do it because it's never been done before, then Denninger blows holes... but not in Ryan's budget plan.

Denninger is one of the smartest people out there when it comes to analysis. His follows mathematics, nothing more. Ryan is wanting to go back to 2008. Why? Bushie’s drunken spending spree cannot be done away with? God forbid we try to undo his assault on the federal budget with the aid of the Repubs in Congress up until they were thrown out of office in 2006 and 2008.

No, he clearly points out where Ryan’s plan is full of crap and BS. Block grants, the unfunded liabilities, the cuts that are not actually cuts but shell games, the rolling back the budgets to lower debt levels but still unsustainable levels....

I hope all these people that think Karl is such a smart guy and re-post his doom and gloomery know this little fact

“For the first time in my adult life, tomorrow I will cast a vote for a Democrat - Barack Obama - and I strongly urge others to do so as well.”

http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?singlepost=2137743

he’s an idiot based on that alone.....

If he is so smart, how does he not see the political realities of what the GOP can do with this ‘11 budget right now? The ‘12 budget Ryan rolled out today is a solid proposal. He tackles health care in it. This is where the fight should be now. As of April 15th, this is going to be the fight for the GOP to put 100% of their effort into. Denninger is a nut if he thinks a whack job like Ron Paul is our savior.

So throw another reactionary on the pile . The dopes like that fossil Sanders and of course stretch face are all sniveling. I am sure they read Ryan's proposals just like they did with the health care scam . Typical . Offer no plan just attack . This is great for Ryan , let them challenge point by point and see how he responds or bitch and whine so the rest of us can see how weak you are .
