A coalition of peculiar media forces apparently led by Donald Trump appear to be working to make President Barack Obama’s birth certificate a major 2012 campaign issue, and all signs point to Sean Hannity hopping on the bandwagon. After dedicating a significant amount of time on his radio show earlier this week to the matter, he brought it up once again on TV in the context of Trump’s potential 2012 bid, calling the entire ordeal ‘odd.’
The discussion began on his “Great American Panel,” where Republican strategist Dee Dee Benkie was urging viewers not to completely dismiss Trump as a viable presidential candidate. This allowed Hannity to bring up the birth certificate, which Trump had been demanding to see, and Hannity noted merely asking the question had helped Trump’s poll numbers: “he’s now in a tie for 5th place, two points behind Sarah Palin.” Panelist Ron Daniels scoffed at the idea that being anywhere near Palin on the polls was a good thing, and dismissed the idea that Trump even wanted to be President. “It’s a publicity stunt,” he concluded.
But Hannity was far more interested in pursuing President Obama’s birthplace struggles, wondering aloud yet again why the President has yet to produce a long-form birth certificate. He took his now-typical line of attack, noting that Dick Cheney had to prove his residency and that President Chester A. Arthur had one attorney after him proclaiming he was born in either Ireland or Canada. That said, Hannity clarified that he personally had no questions as to whether the President was American, but he did not consider himself a worthy arbiter of that.
Legal analyst Peter Johnson agreed that “there is a way to put this to bed”– showing a birth certificate that would be adequate to those who believe the conspiracy– and that the White House has not produced said certificate raised questions. Daniels objected, noting correctly that the White House in fact has published President Obama’s birth certificate several times, but the copy presented was not sufficient. To that, Hannity concluded the discussion articulating what many exposed to the birther debate regularly lament: “let’s get out of this. This is stupid.”

I’ve been absent from FR for more than 2 weeks, just decided I’m game enough to jump back in.
I love the “us” stuff. I can only assume the poor guy has tapeworms.
The problem with that line of argument is that a definition of "Natural Born Citizen" does not exist. There is common law, court precedent, etc. But no clear definition.
My solace is my complete conviction in the law of karma.
And I think it may not take “lifetimes” to boomerang in this situation.
Then why wasn't a "correctly forged" long form Hawaiian one (resembling those of the Nordyke twins) presented from the very beginning?

Not meaning to get off track, but I saw something odd on a school whiteboard recently (this was a grammar school).
There was a drawing with three figures.
On the left there was a tall flagpole, with what appeared to be the Stars and Stripes.
In the center of the picture was a crudely drawn (stick figure) large, tall figure with a big cowboy hat.
A smaller stick figure on the left was shooting the big figure with a pistol. Another smaller stick figure, to the right of the big one, lay on the ground.
Wonder what that picture meant?

I truly believe Obama and Soros did not anticipate all the challenges concerning the birth certificate.
Arrogant people, such as themselves, always underestimate the determination, imagination, and intelligence of people they consider inferior.

It doesn’t look like too many have been willing to fall on their swords except in the military. And how many are now in prison for making the challenge?
I don’t for a moment think that Obama would have hesitated to declare martial law if any of the news stations went viral with his eligibility and riots occurred. I suspect he was just waiting for one of them to do just that.
At the same time, however, Republicans were emphasizing the necessity to win and win big in the forthcoming elections. I suspect they understood that the most efficient way to remove Obama was through acts of Congress.
Obama cannot be challenged in the courts as the U.S.Constitution states that only Congress can remove a President from office.
If a little tiny radio station run by a handful of Latinos in Corpus Cristi can have **great** Internet streaming for their Tex Mex music, then I pray that soon we will have a 24 hour *conservative** news program than will SINK Fox News and those weenie radio talkers like a rock.

I suspect you’ve just hit upon the reason Obama and the progressives want ‘network neutrality’.
That small station’s network streaming is exactly what the enemies of liberty want to kill, as it can easily be used by their opposition to get out the truth.
Well....Thanks to forums like Free Republic the truth about Obama’s eligibility did get out. Facebook, You Tube, message boards, e-mail lists, neighbor to neighbor,...drip, drip, drip...the American people got the news out.
That was a statement in a debate, not law. If that were law because it was said in Congress, every idiotic thing Cynthia McKinney said in Congress would be law, too.
In Dreams of My Father, Obama talks about having his birth certificate with him, and refering to it from time to time. I think it would not be too much trouble for him to provide a copy.
Natural born citizen is solely, per the U.S.Constitution, an eligibility requirement to be President. It is Natural Law and does not need a statute for its definition.
Why? Because a child born in a nation of citizen parents doesn’t need no stinking law to be recognized as a natural born citizen.

If they are forced to do a long form why would we think they would do anything but present another forgery?
Which would precipitate the entire argument all over again and this time they might buy enough time to get past the 2012 elections.
IMHO all the rats are doing with most every issue they have is buying time since they know they are wrong about almost everything,you name it they issue they are on the wrong side.

Right now he’s sitting there fat dumb and happy. If he didn’t go into Libya esp when Hillary Clinton pushed for it, and people were slaughtered, he would toast.
He has a few days and weeks to be in Libya, but if one of our special forces or pilots is captured, look out. It will be another Jimmy Carter thing.
In fact, the best thing Ghaddafi (btw do you notice that you can spell the name any way you wish....? :-) )can do would be to capture Americans and hold them hostage....
