Its not easy being Gods chosen people. If you dont believe me, just look at history. Israel is quite simply a one word answer to anyone who doesnt believe that there is a God. Come with me and lets examine one of Gods greatest miracles the Jewish people, and their home country of Israel. I ask only one thing from you, leave your preconceived prejudices and disbeliefs behind and examine this from a purely logical standpoint.
Over the past 10 years two countries have dominated the headlines in worldwide media like no other. The country most often mentioned in the media is the United States of America. With her economic, military, and geographic prowess this seems quite logical. The United States has an estimated 310 million people as of 2011. The U.S. also has 3.79 million square miles of land. This means that the United States ranks as the third largest country in both land and population.
However, the second most mentioned country in the media was Israel. Israel seems a bit out of place when listed beside the United States for top billing in the media. With only 7.7 million people and only 5.8 million Jews, Israel is far from a match for the United States in population. In fact, Israel is only the 95th largest country by population in the world behind such unknown countries as Azerbaijan, Benin, and Burundi (no offense if you are from one of these).

I had a philosophy professor who told me he could stand before God and tell Him why he didn’t believe in Him. I blinked. Dude, if you’re standing in front of Him - I left it at that.
I’m currently reading Todd Burpo’s book “Heaven is for Real” and I’m floored. Absolutely in shock, floored, and amazed.
It’s given me my faith back.
The irony here is that the highest incidence of atheism is amongst Jews. Even in Israel itself about half of the ethnically Jewish population consider themselves what they call Hiloni, which is secular, non-religious Jews who observe certain aspects of Judaism out of tradition alone.
That would be like me saying “A one-word answer against belief: Holocaust.”
When you have 1.5 billion Muslims constantly harping on about the Jews and Israel, those numbers are bound to reflect the pervasiveness of Islamic desperation.
read it. i have strong faith but the guy is a minister and when he says he tries to ask non leading questions... they’re leading questions...
but other than that... a powerful indictment of an after life.

Great! God works in mysterious ways. Glad you found your way back.
God's will ... will be.
God's covenant with his chosen people ...
God knows and will be.
Personally, it is not wise to be against God's chosen people.
Most Jewish friends and acquaintences including Israel backers...were atheists...and were cultural Jews not religious ones...
Atheists don't 'stand' for very long in His presence. Knocking knees would take one to ground level in a hurry. "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God". ..Psalm 14:1
Yeah. I said “if you’re standing in front of God wouldn’t that show you He exists?” His argument was there is no proof that He exists. Yup.
I just finished that book.
It was amazing.
“The irony here is that the highest incidence of atheism is amongst Jews.”
I think they bear a great burden and flee from it. Being “Chosen” is a kinda crappy job.
Very human reaction.
Isaiah 46:8 Remember this, keep it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.
Israel is back in the land. The next step is the rebuilding of the Temple. How can that possibly happen in this climate of hate toward Israel by the Islamists and the world in general? I'm convinced that there will be a 'peace treaty' with the muslims and a multicultural worship center on the Temple mount. If it is a 7 year treaty then this is the one spoken of in scripture.
Welcome back!

Gotcha. That would the acronym for the Central Bureua of Statistics, the Israeli version of our census. Just as in America, Israel's major cities are even less religious that the outlying settlements. Example: According to the Israel Census, Jerusalem is divided into 70.5 percent Jewish and 29.5 percent non-Jewish, mostly Arab. The Jewish population is further divided into 28.5 percent haredi and the remainder (71.5 percent) simply defined as hiloni (secular).
I will clarify my statement a bit. Israelis might not have incidence of atheism, but of those countries that actually keep track of that sort of thing, Israel is #1. I would not be surprised if more Russians or Chinese were actually atheists, but coming from communist states, they do not report the actual numbers of religious practitioners. With those nations, the best we have are journalistic guesses, and 2nd hand information.
The reason I ask is that:
Atheist: Denies or rejects the existence of a G-d.
Secular: Not overtly or specifically religious.
Most Jews I have met in Eretz Israel are Secular, not Atheist. Big Difference.
