Wanna Defund NPR? Fuggetaboutit!

Forget about defunding NPR. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting and PBS aren’t going anywhere. Just like 1994, the GOP will lose its nerve in the face of the Democrats’ Muppet Parade. They may cut some around the edges, but life partners Burt & Ernie will still be able to afford their rent-controlled apartment, and Garrison Keillor will still enthrall Upper West Side residents with pseudo-folksy tales from the prairie.

We’ll always have NPR, because we’ll always have liberals.

Sewing dissension ~

After Schiller and Schiller showed us their funny looking red armbands I think even the Leftwingtards began to catch on ~ they've been taken over by thieves.

A recent column by Kansas City Star opinion writer Sanchez piece, “’Gotcha’ news goes too far,” castigating O’Keefe was simply more sanctimonious drivel of a leftist embarrassed that more of her media cohorts had been outed, something now occurring with increasing frequency.

If Sanchez REALLY thinks these NPR “progressives” (the modern euphemism for socialists or communists who have not yet acquired firearms) would have admitted to their bias in a more formal reportorial setting, she must not get out much. If she did, she’d know that courts have repeatedly ruled that cops can use all manner of deception in securing evidence and confessions. Can you say “undercover?”

Ahh, say you, there’s a difference. Yes there is.

When cops do this, they’re attempting to solve crimes against individuals and property.

When folks like O’Keefe do this, he’s attempting to expose far more subtle crimes by those seeking to overturn an entire way of life, i.e. America, the idea left us by the Founders.

I’m one of those nut jobs who believes that saving America is more important than the vital work being done by the cops.

Two weeks ago a six foot tall stuffed cartoon character was on the dais talking about funding PBS. Big Bird accompanied Congressman Ed Markey.

The Schillers think the very same things as 99% or the rest of the so-called journalistic media so O’Keefe isn’t going to find much sympathy out there. Nor are we, since “journalists” see nothing wrong with having their work paid for by the government.

So I don’t look for agreement from them that is never going to come. De-fund them. NPR and PBS can sell ad time like everyone else. They don’t need our money to do what they do, there are plenty of other radio and TV outlets that manage to scrape by without tax money.

Well, what a bunch of stinkin’ thinkin’.

Want to throw off King George? Fuhgeddaboutit. We’ll always have King George, because we’ll always have royalists.

Honestly, the side that wins is the side that does NOT give up.

I recently read that the Sesame Street CEO’s salary is nearly $900,000 a year, and that the Sesame Street related products,
Elmo, toys, dolls, sticker books, etc. amount to millions if not billions of dollars. Let him donate half his salary and half of the proceeds from the sale of Sesame Street memorabilia and that would surely more than make up for the defunded PBC and NPR.

I don’t care if there is an NPR (or a HuffPo orDU or anything else). If there is a market for that, then by all means, let someone try to serve that market.

My objection is that they use my tax money. Last I checked, JimRob didn’t get a grant to run this joint, so why should they?

If the GOP cannot defund the propaganda arm of the American Communist Party, then the GOP is useless. What can they do? This is the easy task. This is the low-hanging fruit. Failure to do this just means that the deficit next year will be over $2T, because the GOP lacks the ability to cut anything at all.

Agree 100% However, the vast majority of Republicans in Congress are weak men who cower in defense of the Constitution. We are being led by wimps and people who only deserve our contempt and scorn (our side) If our Republic is to survive, the Tea Party is a force that must grow stronger and larger.

To outright eliminate the funding for PBS, NRP, the NEA should be a no brainer. But, NO, the sissy, pathetic Republican leadership will not lift a finger to defund these leftist filled anti-American agencies.

You cannot tell me that sesame street products and toys can’t fund that liberal kids show.

Defund NPR. Or else give the same amount to Rush Limbaugh.

Last week, NPR was defending itself, and someone who worked at the station made the following points:

1) Their shows don't cost much.
2) Their shows are the best thing on radio.
3) Their shows are just about the most popular things in any radio market.
4) Without subsidies paid by the taxpayers, they will die.

Something is wrong with her overall argument. Can you spot it? Hint: Item 4 makes no sense at all, if the other items are true.

Yeah!! ROFL. the "best thing on radio" would die without forcing tax money for it.

I think we should pay Rush Limbaugh the same thing we pay NPR. Or, if you don't like that idea, let each show fund itself and see who wins.

People were hoodwinked by the Marxist Left’s bogus claim that the world needed TV without “evil corporations” advertising their “capitalist products.” What a huge mistake to have ever let the idea of Corporation for Public Broadcasting to ever have seen the light of day. They are the enemy within.
