A top officer for National Public Radio has confirmed that many Americans still question whether Barack Obama is eligible to be president, but that the tax-supported organization just isn't reporting on it.
It was Betsy Liley, NPR's senior director of institutional giving, who was meeting with another NPR executive, senior Vice President Ron Schiller, when an undercover recorder was running.
See the movie Obama does not want you to see: Own the DVD that probes this unprecedented presidential-eligibility mystery!
In the recording, the two executives discuss how a donor wanted to contribute to coverage of climate change, but only if just one side of the story the side promoting man-made climate change as fact is reported.
Liley calls it "complicated."

NBC Ping
Desperately trying to toss some stuff out there to make it seem like they are not totally biased. The Shiller thing is really hurting their reputation — or rather, exposing to the world what we already knew.
Nah...The right already has NO respect for them, and the left has total respect for people who lie, cheat and steal to advance statism.
I stopped giving to CPB YEARS ago. Our local PBS station can’t stay on the frikkin’ air half the time without a malfuction. I got really tired of it.
Also.....our ‘local PBS spokesperson couldn’t pronounce ‘Westminster’ correctly during the fundraiser. She kept calling it ‘West Minister’.
*facepalm*
It’s “Westminster”. That’s the proper dialect.

Thanks, ASA Vet.
“We’re not covering the birthers. We are not covering them,” Liley said. “There’s a whole movement within the conservative group about questioning something that Obama has said as fact, ‘I was born in Hawaii, when it was a United States state’.”
Obama has never claimed to have been born in Hawaii, I believe. At least I’ve never found if he has done so, instead saying it is his “home state”. Others have made that claim for him. His wife, on the other hand, has definitely said that he was a “Kenyan”.
He’s a lawyer, you know. I suspect he’s careful that way, like a Mafioso.
And why, pray tell is NPR not reporting on this story?......
I consider myself as part of the birther group, but consider it quite possible that Obozo was born in Hawaii.
The Mombasa angle just seems a stretch to me.
The damnation must be in the details of the birth, such as the father’s name, or some other irregularity that might disqualify him.
It is quite obvious that he has something that MUST be kept secret.
Bingo!
“... but consider it quite possible that Obozo was born in Hawaii.
The Mombasa angle just seems a stretch to me.”
Really? And yet we haven’t seen one shred of evident by way of a birth certificate. And you’ll take his word for it? Perhaps you can explain why the elderly woman who lived next door to the house he supposedly lived in said they were never her neighbors.
He wasn’t born in the U.S., which is why we’ve never seen a legal birth certificate.
Ive seen some BS WND headlines in my time (for 9.99 I’ll sell you a tape of them) but this one ranks near the top.
“Obama has never claimed to have been born in Hawaii, I believe.”
Well, I’m wrong. He did so claim that, at a dinner.
“Really? And yet we havent seen one shred of evident by way of a birth certificate. And youll take his word for it?”

You should read more carefully before shooting off your mouth.
I said it is “possible” that he was born in Hawaii.
The information on the birth certificate contains more information then where he was born, mainly the father’s name.
I am not a constitutional scholar, so I do not know all the ramifications of the parental citizenship angle.
I do not rule out a Kenyan birth. I just implying that it seems strange that mother would fly from Mombasa to Hawaii
with such a newborn, and other reasons for his not being legal should be kept open.
“You should read more carefully before shooting off your mouth.”
You’re the individual who said “quite possible”(post #10), and not, “possible”(post #15), as you stated on this comment. There is “quite” a difference.
If you believe it is “quite possible” that Obama was born in Hawaii, what source would you have to refer to in order to come to that “quite possible” conclusion? Obama, of course, which is why I replied to your post.
“Youre the individual who said quite possible(post #10), and not, possible(post #15), as you stated on this comment. There is quite a difference.”
No there is no difference.
I have ZERO evidence of where he was born, or evidence of where he was not born.
I also stated that I consider myself a birther.
Parse it however you like, but do not bother me anymore.
No kidding! That's just it. It's a STORY!! Like in fairytale.
