I know Charlie Sheen. I've never met him, and I don't wish to. But I know who he is and how he feels. He is no super-star and he is not unique. He is merely a typical addict/alcoholic.

Too bad he isn’t sane enough to enjoy it without being stoned out of his mind. Someone will have to fumigate the place once Charlie leaves.
I don’t mean he isn’t an addict, just that the manic behavior right now when he is supposedly clean could indicate an undiagnosed bipolar disorder. No, I think the weight loss and physical appearance is all due to his drug and alcohol abuse. It is just that many who have bipolar disorder and don’t know it, turn to drugs to feel better or stop whatever is happening. Drugs or alcohol dulls it or at least they don’t notice so it becomes their way of dealing with “not feeling right” - many people who are treated for addictions turn out to have an underlying psychiatric disorder. I’m not making any excuses for him - just saying he may also have this disorder
Good input! I am sure many people try to self medicate. He looks like he is at death’s door in coloring, sunken eyes etc... wasn’t sure if bipolar could do that.
This is so true.I was a bartender for many years and I waited on dozens of loud-mouth,drugged up tools like Sheen every day.This asshat is unique only because he’s so wealthy
I have a relative who is addicted. He looks and speaks just like CS. Sad.
My first thought when watching this man disolve into his present mode was that he may be bi-polar and using drugs and alcohol to make himself feel better. It’s really sad to see just how destructive he presently is and yet there are those who are feeding off of this and exploiting it all the way to the bank.
Had a brother died an alcoholic so can see all this behavior in him but also know many who are bi-polar and last night watching his u-stream rant saw the manic mode. Some say he is just “acting” in order to gain whatever it is he is after.....could be...but whatever it is he seems to be headed for total destruction unless there is something done soon. I pray he gets the help he needs and soon......my brother didn’t......

It does not help when people want to make a reality show of his life and continue to hang with him to feed his addictions.
I will not be surprised that someday we will see a headline saying that he has died....
Wow, guess the reports I saw of him looking like Hugh Hefner but without the excuse of being 40 years OLDER are true.
Meanwhile, what is his and family doing? He desperatly needs to be involuntary committed to save his life and then get rid of all those hanger-ons in his house.
C’mon Martin Sheen, you will sleep on a grate to help save the homeless, how about helping your own son?
Alcoholics don’t need to have a reason to drink. Charlie is a normal addict. He could be your brother or son. His behavior is standard behavior for substance abusers. His meltdown should be a heads up to us all, not because he’s a celebrity, but because we’re seeing close up what happens every day to millions
His dad can’t do anything. Martin is the one I feel sorry for. Only an alcoholic can help himself. That’s part of what makes it so awful. Especially for family members.
He’s a typical Hollywood type of person.
Martin Sheen did try to step in. In 2008 he turned Charlie in for drug use when he was on probation. There was some talk about Martin and his wife getting a conservatorship. I don’t know what happened.
I honestly don’t think he is that good an actor to be faking this - he believes what he is saying
Having gone through many melt downs with my brother over the years I can second your thoughts as to this being a head ups to others. If you have never witnessed this then take heed as indeed millions of alcoholics/drug addicts go through this all the time. Not a pretty picture but one that unfortunately happens to many families and their loved ones......
