Pretty much any castrated corpowhore they roll out on the showroom floor is not really for us, kinda like how they thought we'd love the Chevy Volt.

That’s pretty much how we wound up with Juan McCain.

My objection to Romney is that he is an elitist who believes that he is ‘next in line’ as a RNC pick for POTUS. I don’t care if he is Morman... others may.

What I care about is his poor understanding of Conservative Principles ... Politicians like Romney get trendy political positions mixed up with Principle. But - you either got it or you don’t. Politicians who don’t establish - keep and hold and practice core Conservative Principles are just not worth having ...

Having said that - Romney like Huckabee are good Americans While I don’t want either one as POTUS, we should be cautious about pouring on caustic rhetoric. Both are RINO is nature but they don’t hold a candle to the Demorats.

If it’s Palin O’Bama wins in FDR/LBJ/Reagan landslide.

“he is a Mormon.”

Finally a southern Conservative with the nerve to be honest about why they won’t vote for Romney.

>>>>>I am going out on that same limb again to declare, here and now, that Mitt Romney, if nominated, will not be elected over Barack Obama in 2012. It just isn’t going to happen.

Come on. That is not going out on a limb.

FR began exposing Romney for his fraudulent conservatism way back in 2006. By the time he announced FReepers knew who he was, an unprincipled, two-faced political chameleon, with liberalism guiding his core beliefs. He ain't called Willard the Myth for nothing. I seriously doubt GOP primary voters would hand this scumbag the nomination. Republicans can do better.

Definitely not Romney, McCain, Gingrich or any other of those old hats. New blood...new blood...that’s what we need. I wish I convince Chris Christie to run.

Palin’s my choice, but I could support an alternate nominee with the same direct no-nonsense way of speaking to us and the same devotion to principle. I’d say DeMint, but the Senate has a way of corrupting any who go there.

I read that somewhere too—what a coinkydink!
I think it was in a Time or Newsweek magazine I was using to start a fire.

Without a President that first of all would care less about being like, loved or re-elected for a second term, the country dies. We need someone that will put the country ahead of self, and go all out to fix the ills that beset us.

Build a fence between us and Mexico. Jail anyone hiring anyone not legally here. No citizenship just for being born within this country. No public benefits for non-citizens. No standing in court for people within our borders that were not invited in.

Tear the entire regulatory system to the bone, get back to where a crime is a crime, bribery is paying someone ANYTHING to change their actions within govt.

Get rid of the gambling system called the stock market, return it to a system of financing for start up companies and improvement of existing ones, instead of something that more resembles "Craps".

Burn the EPA to the ground.

Prosecute the ACLU under RICO statutes.

Allow various "environmental wackjobs" to be sued for lost profits by business.

Ignore the Federal Reserve System, begin printing "money" by the govt, let them pay their own debts, we will fully back a true American dollar.

Declare a state of emergency, ORDER the building of nuclear power plants to begin taking over for coal fired power producers. ORDER the opening and production of domestic oil supply, the goal? US energy independence within 10 years.

Tell people the facts on the biggest scams of our time. How ethanol takes more oil to make than it replaces. How wind power not only is unable to supply our country, but how much more it will cost us. How far into the future solar power efficiency is. How much "fossil fuel" is really left on this planet. Demonstrate how insignificant rising CO2 levels are. The farce of "acid rain". Order a 1,000% increase in training of doctors and nurses. Change the laws so that instead of people getting rich from doctors mistakes, the doctors go to prison.

Change the tax laws so that all income tax would disappear from the Federal landscape, go to a sales tax. Then watch the rebuilding of America.

Show the world that "sound as a dollar" means something. Bring the worlds money here as investments. While the worlds economy burns, make this place a safe haven.

Finally come to the press and the people, tell them the truth about everything controversial that has troubled our minds. Admit that we made two mistakes in Vietnam, scamming America to get into it, and abandoning S. Vietnam, because we were weak. Open the books on all files pertaining to JFK, RFK and the MLK assassinations. Let it all hang out, without the redactions. Show us the files on Lee Harvey Oswald, why he was allowed to come to the US after defecting to the USSR, then allowed to get close to the School Book Depository.

Have an honest assessment of what happened on 9/11 and why the air defense system "stood down". Quit treating the people and the Constitution like toilet paper. Bring us back to a time where if you are physically and mentally capable of caring for yourself, you either do so or die. Turn this country around by allowing it to fall, but make sure that the land that is rebuilt, is done so with the vision of our founders.

Yes, the next President will have a daunting, thankless task. I just hope she is up for the job, and I hope the Secret Service would be up to theirs.

If Palin can work on the pitch and timbre of her voice she could wipe the streets with him. I guarantee there would be thug violence against her supporters at a campaign stop, and the American people hate to see a girl picked on. LBJ and FDR had unusual events propel their victories, and Reagan, well, was Reagan.

I wonder if that can be done...or if she would be willing to even try?
