Donald Trump Talks President
Wisdom of Dave ^ | 03/01/2011 | David Jolley

He builds the most magnificent, fantastic, hotels, office buildings, and designs golf courses. He is famous for his casinos and his odd looking hair. But now Donald Trump is considering running as a Republican presidential candidate.

He was interviewed by Rush Limbaugh. He states that our adversaries such as China "laugh" at America because of what we are doing as a country. As Trump deals with high level contacts in both business and government globally, I would tend to give him the benefit of the doubt when he states that.

This country is in more trouble than I thought.

I liked one part of his interview with Limbaugh, when he said we’re not great. We have the potential, but we aren’t great right now. Most politicians blow smoke up our butts about how awesome we are. Well, sometimes we need a little tough love. Someone to challenge us and say, yeah, you could be great, but you’re not. You need to change a few things. I appreciated his tough talk.

Every time his name comes up, I can only think “on-no, how low will we go”.

... his interview with Limbaugh,...

That is so pathetic. Rush "jumped the shark" a decade ago. But I never suspected it was this sad. :(

I listened to the interview. No question about all the money he’s given to every imaginable POS from Emanuel, Spector, etc., etc. Poor interview if it even was one.

It will be interesting to see who jumps into the Republican gene pool for 2012. I am not trumping Trump, but I am still out as to who I will support.

Fantastic, wonderful, magnificent, Trump toilets!

Yeah, lets elect the king of bankruptcy to preside over the financial collapse of America. I’ll bet he could double his wealth in the first term while finishing the job Obama started.

Yes he is very into himself. If he runs for president will the press ask if the hair is real or a toupee?

I admire Donald Trump for his success in business and his well-known chutzpah but I'm highly skeptical of him as the 2012 Republican presidential candidate. He's the kind of 'fat cat' the left loves to demonize and Trump strikes me as having thin skin and not taking criticism well, as is the case with most billionaires. Besides, as a New York Republican, I would guess that Trump is a fiscal conservative but a 'social liberal', which, frankly, I'm sick of. Donald Trump has a checkered past with lawsuits and ex-wives that can be used against him. He comes off as arrogant and even though he may have some good ideas, I just can't see him as the 2012 Republican presidential nominee. Don't even get me started on the hair.

Rush did ask him about the money for Rahm. He said that the Republicans never run anybody in cities like NY and Chicago....And Rahm brother is Trumps Agent....And he likes Rahm.

He offered to build Obama a nice $100 million hall to have state dinners and stuff in, probably figures he could knock down some old monuments or somthing to make room for it.

Trump is an asshat and we’ve got enough of those in politics already.

If Obama rejected the Donald’s overtures, then he must be afraid of him. Donald would want something in return. Trump’s face on Mt Rushmore? A State Dinner for himself? Something is going on here.

I hope the Donald jumps in the race. At least Obugger will be crapping his pants. He isn’t scared of anyone else.

I liked what I heard of his interview with Rush yesterday, too. He’s a hard-hitting straight-shooter. What would he do with the teachers in Wisconsin? Give them the Chris Christie treatment. That is what I am looking for right now; forget the nuanced country-club nice guys.

For all his faults, he is a savvy businessman who speaks his mind. I want someone who thinks for himself, not someone who tries to make everybody like him.
