It’s those damned chickens again.
I have a daughter that still lives there loves the city but keeps saying it is so hard to live there. Sad how time changes things. San Francisco at one time a jewel, now and stink hole.
Perfect outcome for a city run by liberal shit-for-brains politicians.
The real problem is the combined sewer system, sewage and storm water. Smells will always emanate from sewage but most sewer systems are closed except at stand pipes that vent overhead into the atmosphere.
I live across the bay. We do not have a combined system and we don’t have odor problems related to low flows.
SF has an open sewer system to allow storm water to flow into it. The smell is coming from the storm drains which are connected to the sewer system.
Yes and wastewater plants do it every day after using sodium hypochlorite to disinfect their final effluent. Several sulfur based chemicals can do the job.
They are so busy saving a two inch fish they can’t see the destruction in their wake. We just flush two to three times, so much for saving anything. Last time I was in SF, it was the crazies they let out on the street (SF passed a law that lets the homeless roam the streets) that added to the stench around 4th and Market St. Used to be the homeless played guitar or sax and had a case out for tips or sat quietly up against a storefront. Now the crazies actually follow you and scream at you and demand a dollar.
Not going back anytime soon.
8.5 million gallons of bleach?
That is certainly not a green thing to do.
Why isn’t the city council proposing dumping 8.5 million gallons of Rid-X into the sewers instead? Much more green and costly thing to do.
Eco-freak laws for thee, but not for me.
Was it a good batch of mustard gas?
That was before the open faggot rebellion took over.
“BeeepBeeepBeeep BeepBeep This is the San Francisco Emergency Flush System (EFS). Here is Mayor Edwin M. Lee. ‘My fellow sewer stinkers; San Francisco has a problem, and it smells. After close consultation with former mayor Gavin Newsom (code name BIG TURD)I have initiated PLAN CRAPPER. At noon today, all San Franciscans will rush to the nearest toilet and push the handle. We feel this massive release of water will remove all the unpleasant odors from our environment. Hawaii, however, will be in a fix as this tsunami of turds barrels their way covering Waikiki with California pee. That is all.”
Older cities are more prone to have combined sewers.
Yes it was. I had to air out the house for hours.
If they took more showers, this wouldn’t happen.
Why anyone would ever think SF is a desirable place to visit, let alone live, is beyond me. It is a dirty, crowded, crappy city...and now it smells like one.
