“He will be a wild ass of a man, His hand shall be aganst everyone andthey shall be against him, and he shall dwell in the face of his brothers” Genesis 16 prophecy concerning Ishmael
“Laws are covenants. And covenants must derive their authority from some unifying principle.”
Unfortunately my idiotic neighbors want to fund endless retirement for public workers. They also want the streets teaming with armed government employees who will monitor evil behaviors like not wearing a seat belt. Or my neighbors wholeheartedly endorse speed limits that change every few feet so that the city can add extra taxes . These same morons want endless taxation to fund enormous monuments to governmental power in the form of the nicest buildings in town.
So I think the problem with laws are people... The problem with people is they want laws. The only solution is a strong and principled Constitution that enumerates very limited powers of the State... Yeah, that will work... Oh, wait...
“There are plenty of laws, but none of them actually matter as the ultimate authority in any situation is that of men, not of laws. Their institutions, from the military to the bureaucracy, depend not on laws, but on personal fealty.”
They are talking about the Obama-USA and Wisconsin?
2 Thessalonians 2:7 (New International Version, ©2010)
7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
Matthew 24:12 (New American Standard Bible)
12”Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.
Sultan Knish is definitely worth book marking; remarkably, he writes like this nearly every day.
