MSNBC Host Scarborough Unleashes on Beck: ‘Losing it Before Our Eyes’
The Blaze ^ | 2/25/11 | Scott Baker

Posted on 02/25/2011 1:03:42 PM PST by jobim

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” this morning, host Joe Scarborough delivered a scathing rant against Glenn Beck. According to Scarborough, Beck is “losing it before our eyes” and is “bad for the conservative movement.”

“He’s bad for the Republican party. He’s bad for Fox News. It’s that simple,” Scarborough said, referring specifically to Beck’s recent work to uncover the socialists, progressives, and unions to the unrest in Egypt and Wisconsin.

Guest commentator Pat Buchanan added that Republicans have a “responsibility and a duty” to make sure Beck isn’t speaking for conservatives.

Scarborough refers to a recent blog post by conservative writer Peter Wehner calling Glenn, “The most disturbing personality on cable television.” I talk to Pete from time to time and have a good deal of respect for his analysis most of the time. I found his most recent posts on Glenn, however, to be pretty shallow. It’s a popular sport to make dramatic denunciations of Beck themes without really engaging in a discussion of the arguments.

I’ve been involved in mainstream conservative thought and politics for 25 years and I can assure you that Wehner and Scarborough are mounting a very weak case. I’ve worked with many top conservative leaders and politicians. Glenn is about as thoughtful and sincere in his approach to political argument as anyone I’ve met. The depth and range of discussion around the Mercury and Blaze offices is the most interesting and electrifying of any place I’ve worked.

Joe is very familiar and has intimate knowledge of “what is bad for conservatives.”

Joe & Pat are “hasbeens.” Their days are behind them...can’t even say “better days.”

As far as I’m concerned Joe and Pat can have the republican party. But, since when did these two “has beens” get put in charge of the gop?

Beck went odd the edge when he equated Reform Judism to Radical Islam.

Only a nut would make such a comparison.

‘Losing it Before Our Eyes’

Could be MSNBC’s motto instead of Fall Forward.

I listened to the tape and I agree with all of them. Beck’s going over the edge, he’s not stable and it worries me no end. I really mean that- it’s not insincere or sarcastic .

And please save yourself the trouble of calling me a “concern troll”- I’m not. I can’t stand Joe Scarborough either :)

I have several friends who loved him on CNN Headline (as did I) and were thrilled when he came to FOX- but after a few months- they quit watching him.

The man has become a caricature.

“Scarborough is an asshole.”

Joe will say whatever he is told to say. He’s just trying to pull down a paycheck.

Joe, you lost a long time ago. If you don't like the way things are now, switch to the marxist party.

Or maybe you already have.

The Egyptian uprising immediately smelled to me like the velvet revolutions in Ukraine and Georgia (and Uzbekistan) and it was my immediate question here at FR. So Beck’s reporting confirmed what I already believed.

The Ukrainian uprising was put together by an alphabet soup of organizations coordinated by the State Department and Soros. This is not to take away from the Ukrainians themselves, but still these things don’t happen in a complete vacuum. See Georgia’s uprising. See Uzbekistan’s uprising. Same pattern.

There have been reports in the press that the Egypt uprising was in fact coordinated by the State Department. We know that Soros’s gang has been in and out of Cairo in numbers the last two years. They made a big show of bringing in El Baradei, who as it happens sits on a board with Soros (of an organization funded by Soros).

And then we have Google’s special projects group operating there. And we have comments by the foreign leftist participants themselves commenting on the splendid organizing skills of the Muslim Brotherhood. So, yes, pretty much everything Beck says is true. It is denied by the headlines and confirmed if you read the comments of participants when they are talking for their own consumption. Which shouldn’t be a surprise since most everything Beck broadcasts is taken from the people themselves, video and their own written statements.

In other words, the information isn’t that hard to find, you just have to read past the headlines, where they deny it, to the meat of the story where they confirm it.

"The name of that fringe show should be called Morning Vomit."

At the very least "Morning Breath."
Or maybe "Morning Farts."

Pat Buchanan is a democrat. He should get out of the republican party and peddle his old southern democrat ideas elsewhere. He is a plant, he doesn’t belong.

People just do not want to believe bad things are happening because the breadth and depth of the evil is something far beyond what we normally imagine. It is human nature like when people are shocked that it is THEIR town or neighborhood or house to get ravaged by natural disaster etc. The “I never thought this would happen to me” syndrome which we have as a nation. We think things can’t happen because we are U.S. Reminds me of scary movies where more and more obvious things are happening and the people keep brushing them off as “nothing”...meanwhile the audience, in this case the people following the information, are screaming...CAN’T YOU SEE IT? NOBODY WOULD BE THIS OBLIVIOUS. Ah, but we are. Like wishing symptoms of a scary illness away etc.
