An interesting coincidence...
Heres Rachel Maddow on Tuesday night with Jay Leno:
JAY LENO: How about what's going on in Wisconsin?...
RACHEL MADDOW: If you look at the last election cycle, of the top ten people donating money in that election, seven of them were giving to Republicans, those were all corporate interests and Right-wing PACs and stuff. Seven of the ten were all Right-wing, and the only three that weren't were unions. So, if Republicans can get rid of the unions, particularly these public sector unions, they can run the table in every election from here on out.
Now heres Shepard Smith interviewing Juan Williams Wednesday:
SHEPARD SMITH: Can you explain Wisconsin?...Have you looked at the list of the top ten donors to political campaigns, the top ten highest? Seven of those ten donate to Republicans. The other three that remain of those top ten, they all donate to Democrats and theyre all unions. Bust the unions, and its over.
Hmm, is Shep a Rachel Maddow fan? She cites some stats and draws a conclusion from them, and the next day Shep cites the same stats using similar language--and draws the same conclusion. Now if Rachel Maddows stats were general public knowledge this could be a coincidence. But after spotting Noel Sheppards analysis of her comments, we followed his lead and went to Open Secrets to see for ourselves. As Mr Sheppard noted the watchdog website contradicts Maddows claims. Neither the top ten overall donors nor the top ten individual donors lists shows seven of them leaning Republican. In fact, in both cases there were more Democrat-leaning donors in the top ten than Republicans!
So now we have not just similar language leading to the same conclusion, but also identical stats that may have been made up by Rachel Maddow...and repeated by Shep Smith the next day! A Shep-Maddow connection? We report, you decide.
Fox needs to dump that homo Smith.
These stats are cherry picked.
Obama raised more money than any president in history. More foreign money. More Wall St money. More Hollywood money. More academia money. More union money.
But woe is the poor liberal. Give me a break!
Well, they obviously aren’t sharing the same beautician. Shep is so much cuter....
Seriously, Smith needs to be called on the carpet if he is “reporting” bogus Democrat talking points on the air. It simply goes against, “We report - you decide”, if what Smith (and therefore, Fox) “reports” is inaccurate or, especially, an outright lie. Fox cannot afford to lose its reputation because one of its most visible anchors gets lazy and sloppy.
Hello. What Maddow is admitting is that very few voters actually support Flee Party policies. She is admitting that no one would voluntarily donate to Flee candidates; they must be forced to through union dues --- including forcing many individuals who specifically OPPOSE Flee candidates and policies.
Maddow is admitting that the Flee Party is thoroughly, utterly 100% astroturf, that it has no viability at all if it were left out there to compete on its own strength, on the merits, in the marketplace of ideas.
All this talk about how Walker's goal is actually to bust the unions. I say: SO WHAT IF IT IS? Is that a bad thing? HELL NO it's not a bad thing.
Exactly.
x2
Sweet!
So, what's the issue?
No downside I can find ;)
(((Stay safe)))
I'm not a Liberal, I'm a Drama Queen.
Rachel is Shep sans mascara.
purposely, just being ****in civil
