Agreed. It baffles me that Salem -- which otherwise has a pretty good host lineup -- can't find a higher IQ to fill the 9-12 EST slot. When Gallagher comes on, I can't twist the dial quickly enough!
And yes, I still use an analog radio with an old-fashioned dial. It even has those big ole rotor-blade tuning capacitors inside!
The latest Gallop Poll shows a statistical deadheat and three-way tie.
Huckabee 18
Romney 16
Palin 16
Has anybody alerted Christians that Huckabee is not a conservative on economic matters?
I said it would be Romney or Palin for 2 years and in the end, that is what it will be.
Actually, I find Mike Gallagher much easier to listen to than Hannity, who hasn’t had anything new to say in years. He’s also much easier on the ears than Boortz, who like Hannity, wastes too much valuable air time on trivial inside stuff about the personal lives of his staff members, etc. He beats some other Salem talkers such as Bill Bennett and Michael Medved by a country mile. Granted, he’s not as good as Dennis Prager (who is Salem’s best, IMO), but he’s every bit as good as Hugh Hewitt and a whole lot less boring to listen to than HH. I can’t listen to Savage because he thinks the world revolves around him, him, him.
My top ten favorite talkers are:
1. Rush
2. Mark Levin
3. Laura Ingraham
4. Dennis Prager
5. Rusty Humphries
6. Mike Gallagher
7. Lars Larson
8. Mark Steyn (subs for Rush)
9. Mark Davis (WBAP in Dallas, also subs for Rush)
10. Glenn Beck
