I don't want to jinx it, but I'm so happy I feel like shouting from the roof tops.
It looks like Big Labor is getting ready to die the ugly death it so rightly deserves and it will take the Democrat party with it.
Today, Hanukkah came early. Rasmussen Reports, the most accurate political polling firm on the planet, is reporting that 48% of registered voters are siding with Wisconsin's heroic Governor Scott Walker and only 38% are standing with the lying, thieving public sector unions. It's a Hanukkah in February miracle!

To quote our drunken Vice President, Joe Bite Me: "This is a big f-ing deal!"
If the Right plays its cards right, this can be final nail in the coffin of the 2+2=5 Progressivevik Left. If Scott Walker doesn't flinch, (And so far, he hasn't, unlike the way the Weeper of the House and Itch McConnell did during the Bush Tax Cut hubbub. Another 13 months of unemployment ? Gimme a break! Sigh...another rant for another time. ) he'll cause a chain reaction that will drain the power of other public sector unions, which will save many states billions upon billions of dollars. That's great news to be sure, but there's also another reason to rejoice:
THIS COULD BE THE END OF THE NIGHTMARE THAT IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S PRESIDENCY AND THE LEFT MAY LOSE WHATEVER POWER THEY STILL RETAIN.
It's not a big secret that the hated Democrat party and the public sector unions have had an incestous love affair for decades. ( At this point, I'm surprised no one has given birth to a mutant child yet.) Check this out from the American Institute for Economic Research's Richard Ebeling:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Since 1990, labor unions have contributed over $667 million in election campaigns in the United States, of which $614 million or 92 percent went to support Democratic candidates. In 2008, unions spent $74.5 million in campaign contributions, with $68.3 million going to the Democratic Party. Already, unions have contributed $6.5 million to the 2010 elections, and $6 million has gone to Democrats, according to the Center for Responsive Politics in Washington, D.C."

If you'll note, five of the listed unions are public sector unions. If they were to lose any power, they'd also lose a whole lot of cash, which is the lifeblood of politics. Less cash means means lost elections for the Dims. And here's the funny part: This is happening with the approval of the American people, and it all started in the birth place of the Progressivevik Movement, Wisconsin! Oh, the Lord works in mysterious ways, and it's fairly apparent He is quite displeased with the Democrat party.
Here's the bottom line, folks. This is the opening we've been waiting for. This is the exhaust port to destroy the Democrats' Debtstar. We can't be like the useless Rebel pilots who got themselves blown to smithereens by Darth Vader.....
We need to arm those proton torpedoes!
I’m sorry that that the chart didn’t come out right....
will the unionistas go quietly or is there violence to contend with on their part?
“Big Labor is getting ready to die the ugly death it so rightly deserves and it will take the Democrat party with it”
That’s a big statement.
Is that remotely possible?
I hadn’t thought of it like that.
If that’s even remotely possible, we should all get off our arses TOMORROW and do something to support that.
I was thinking of waving a “Corrupt unions are stealing from our kids” placard at College
Now, that is a good question. These things never end well.
Union violence...hmmmmm....Would it be OK if I use that as an article idea ?
please do .. i think it’s inevitable
Indeed, the Debt Star awaits. Are we Alderaan ?
Well, the unions are doing themselves no favors in the PR department. And they are the Dims’ pets....
This could be a disaster neither one can recover from, IF the Right plays its cards right.
I was part of the decertification of a Caterpillar dealership way back when.....oh, yeah...unions will resort to violence.....they slashed the tires of big equipment in the yard during this .... and roughed up employees. I got sent to Alaska on business for a week....to get me away for awhile....in retrospect, I now realize that (then) as a young woman....I was at risk.
Red Five, standing by...
“Lock S foils in attack position.”
“Look at the size of that thing!”
“Cut the chatter, Red Two! Accelerate to attack speed.”
MAN, AM I NERD OR WHAT!?
I did the above from memory....
Totally unrelated ADD moment: My cousin, who was a pilot in Desert Storm, used Red Five as his call sign...
I have the funny feeling I’m not as original as a I originally thought....
:) But, that is one cool pic!
At my first location, the only letter carrier that was a member of the union was by my observations fairly incompetent. The rest of the guys were hard chargers, working other jobs and doing all they could to eke out a better life for their families. The rural carriers were the envy of the office as their contract allowed them to be evaluated for pay purposes during an annual inspection and when their work day was finished, they could go home. Meaning, they came to work, did their work and left.
Not so the letter carriers. We were deemed 8 hour employees. If we finished our routes early and returned to the office, we would have little choice, but to punch out and go home, thus being docked pay. So the game most days was to stretch out the breaks to pace the work for an 8 hour conclusion. This really irked the guys who had other things to do once they got off of work.
In early 1975, the USPS began to roll out LCRES, the letter carrier route evaluation system. LCRES had been field-tested in Kokomo Indiana and deemed a huge success by both carriers and postal management. The basics seemed to be that each letter route would be evaluated for an eight hour day, the end result would be that the carrier could be efficient on lighter days and go home earlier if done. Well, the NALC, The National Association of Letter Carriers, the recognized bargaining unit for letter carriers nation-wide intervened and LCRES never happened. Letter Carriers I talked with were deeply let down. Most of them were not paying members, and if they were, it was only to earn the health benefits package. They felt that NALC mainly supported NorthEast workers (Read here - Boston, NY, Philly, Chicago)
My other observations concerning Public Sector employee unions are more generalized that they don't really have the best interests of their members at heart. When the USPS was trying to adapt to a digital age, the unions were stuck back in the stone age and took every effort at change as a personal attack on their contract.
Whenever I hear that unions are somehow involved with a political issue, I cringe, knowing they do not represent a majority of the folks, but only a small self-interest.
Unions never have anyone’s best interests at heart but its own leadership, that’s for sure. This story proves it.
