Chris Matthews Compares Sarah Palin To Gaddafi: “She Just Doesn’t Know The World Around Her
Mediaite ^ | February 22, 2011 | Matt Schneider

If you thought you heard the last from Chris Matthews today after being called out by Michael Reagan and reviewed by The Washington Post, well think again because today on Hardball he was leading the charge on a brand new Sarah Palin hit parade. With the assist from liberal commentators Cynthia Tucker and David Corn, the subject of tell-all books on Palin was the invitation for Matthews, Tucker and Corn to unleash fire.

Matthews, clearly enjoying the conversation, described the segment as the “candy” of the evening. Tucker agreed and said “I love the fact that this woman is so confident in her ignorance.” In the final moments, after all had a good laugh, Matthews allowed each an opportunity to provide a parting shot at the Mama Grizzly with their answer to his question of whether Palin would be running for President. Tucker adamantly said no, concluding “she’s damaged goods.” Corn waffled a bit, saying “I thought she wouldn’t but then – everytime I read about her, she seems so self-centered that I don’t know how she could pass up this opportunity.”

Matthews though, possibly eager to remind all that on his show no one gets to bash Palin louder than him, in the final thirty seconds suggested that Palin would not run because “I don’t think this carnival act is going to sell.” Furthermore, Matthews jokingly compared Palin to Moammar Gaddafi, since just like him “she just doesn’t know the world around her.” However, just to alleviate some of the anger he might receive from such a comment, Matthews clarified saying “I don’t think she’s as bad as him.” Wow, if you wait long enough it looks like a “nice” thing said about Palin actually could slip through on Hardball.

I’d just love to see someone bust him in the nose.

Chrissy “tingles” over Obama, but never met a woman that he could not relentlessly bash.

This says a lot about him. Based his overtly feminine mannerisms, unrelenting misogyny, and his homoerotic descriptions of his lover-boy (he’s sooo dreamy), it is pretty clear that Chrissy has at least ‘experimented’ if not much more.

I’m not sayin’, I’m just sayin’.

Seriously. What up with Chris’s Jodie Foster-like obsession with Sarah Palin?

Why is it that they are still attacking her 24/7 almost three years after the 2008 election? Is anyone still going after Joe Liebermann, John Edwards or Jeraldine Ferraro?

Why?

Because Joe Liebermann, John Edwards or Jeraldine Ferraro never developed high Unfavorable ratings while in politics. You can't use them against anybody.

Why are we still attacking Jimmy Carter when he left office 30 years ago? Why are Democrats still attacking Bush when he is constitutionally ineligible to run for President again?

Because it is one of the oldest political tactics in the books.

The tactic is to pick a politician that a large number of people think is or was unqualified and then associate him with everybody else in the opposing Party.

Like this:

Or this:

The Democrats want to paint Sarah Palin as the face of the Republican Party and all Republicans. So, they keep ridiculing her every blunder just as Dan Quayle was ridiculed and still is ridiculed 24 years after he left office.

"The Republican Party. The Party that gave us Dan Quayle! Ha-ha-ha!"

And look... there's Spiro Agnew! Now that's a blast from the past but, even after 37 years, people still associate Spiro with "Definitely Not Good".

How many voters do not think that Sarah Palin would make a good President?

According to the latest FOX News poll, 72% of all voters.

FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)

Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.

Sarah Palin:

...............YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of

All .............23%.......72%.......4%.......1%

Dem ............7%.......87%........5%.......1%

Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%

Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%

SP has already said she doesn't have time for people who are not interested in a serious discussion of the issues. I can envision some of these reporters having their credentials pulled and many being reassigned to the back of the briefing room to be never called upon, ever, for four long years.

I Don't even know why republicans even have primaries scheduled.

Would save a lot of time and money to just simply e mail crissy and ask him to pick someone.

He definitely has the smarts for it, NO?

so those polled thought Palin would make a better president than:

Jeb Bush 21 39
Donald Trump 19 23
Chris Christie 18 29
Tim Pawlenty 13 21
Haley Barbour 11 16
Michele Bachmann 10 16
Rick Santorum 9 15
Mitch Daniels 8 13
John Thune 6 12
Jon Huntsman

and as good a president as Newt tied at 23%

since Huck isn't running that Means of ALL the candidates in the race those polled thought only Mitt would make a better POTUS than Palin.

so much for the unelectable argument. Since Palin will wipe the floor with Mitt in the primary. It looks like Palin is the best choice of those polled....

If Hannity had said the same thing about Hillary Clinton, they would be calling for his head and his job.

Well come to think of it, could make the argument that Hillary supports infanticide, and that would be in the same ball park as Gaddafi, but that`s for another thread

Also important to remember that Fox Opinion Dynamics has a terrible record.

The people that do the polling for Fox, OPINION DYNAMICS are partisan Democrats. When it comes to crunch time they can not help themselves, such as a terrible poll they released just prior to the 2004 election.

Poll was taken on a weekend that included Halloween, bad enough that they polled on a weekend, but that they polled on Halloween.

They had a sheepish Opinion Dynamics guy on after the election talking about that very poll, he said yes we were suspicious of it but we released it anyway.

These same people totally hate Sarah Palin! Now why do Fox allow these people to continue to poll for them? I have asked them this very question for years, they have no answer.

The pollsters are dishonest! Polling has lost it`s science because of this fact.

Maybe if Palin could preside over the demise of a big city newspaper that would give Palin credibility in Tucker’s book.

Because Foxnews is owned by a RINO and Saudi Arabia who’s economy would be destroyed if a conservative got into office.

People keep saying that Huck is not running, but I am afraid IMHO everything points to the fact that he is...now he has the book coming up...he also has the phony MSM polls to prop him up.

Yes I know the phony MSM polls will not do much for him, the MSM will be devastated when/if he pulls out, but I see him as being in and being a spoiler.

I do not want him to run, I am 100% for Sarah, but I believe he is running! I see no evidence that he is not running.

Happy to learn what you have that suggests he is not running? Yes I heard he disbanded his old PAC or something like that, but then read he only did that to settle accounts from 2008 and that he has a new PAC already???

RE: “It doesn’t really matter what Chrissy said. It’s not as if anyone is listening in.”

*************

I actually watched Matthews for a few minutes last night — Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz — I’d have totally passed out from boredom if not for being rather fixated on the spittle dribbling from the sides of his mouth - ugh......

He talks so fast and excitedly that it’s hard to understand many of his words — not attractive at all.

The only time I have watched most of the show is on youtube when Zell Miller took him the woodshed.

Funny stuff.
