If you thought you heard the last from Chris Matthews today after being called out by Michael Reagan and reviewed by The Washington Post, well think again because today on Hardball he was leading the charge on a brand new Sarah Palin hit parade. With the assist from liberal commentators Cynthia Tucker and David Corn, the subject of tell-all books on Palin was the invitation for Matthews, Tucker and Corn to unleash fire.
Matthews, clearly enjoying the conversation, described the segment as the “candy” of the evening. Tucker agreed and said “I love the fact that this woman is so confident in her ignorance.” In the final moments, after all had a good laugh, Matthews allowed each an opportunity to provide a parting shot at the Mama Grizzly with their answer to his question of whether Palin would be running for President. Tucker adamantly said no, concluding “she’s damaged goods.” Corn waffled a bit, saying “I thought she wouldn’t but then – everytime I read about her, she seems so self-centered that I don’t know how she could pass up this opportunity.”
Matthews though, possibly eager to remind all that on his show no one gets to bash Palin louder than him, in the final thirty seconds suggested that Palin would not run because “I don’t think this carnival act is going to sell.” Furthermore, Matthews jokingly compared Palin to Moammar Gaddafi, since just like him “she just doesn’t know the world around her.” However, just to alleviate some of the anger he might receive from such a comment, Matthews clarified saying “I don’t think she’s as bad as him.” Wow, if you wait long enough it looks like a “nice” thing said about Palin actually could slip through on Hardball.

I love the fact that Obama is so confident in his ignorance and that this woman is so ignorant she see’s it in Sarah Palin and not her Hybrid hero.
If an ignorant person thinks you are ignorant, that's not a bad thing.

Translation: Tucker hates the fact that Palin is smart, confident, principled, beautiful, happy, informed, and primed to win the Presidency in '12. In fact, it's making libs even loonier than they already are -- quite a trick.
