CALLER: You know... You know, and... You know what? I've noticed this tactic, too. Whenever I talk to a right-wing person, the first thing they want to do is deflect the question you ask them by asking you a question.
RUSH: I'm not deflecting anything. I'm trying to find out exactly what it is that you think Sarah Palin said that is stupid.
CALLER: (laughing) Oh, so you don't think anything she said is dumb, huh? Okay. I see. This is what I mean. You don't have anything. Everything she said is very intelligent and -- and is correct. That what you believe, right?
RUSH: Uh, this is --
CALLER: What about...? Okay, let's go back, when she first came out. What about seeing Alaska from -- or seeing Russia from -- her backyard? Do you think that was stupid or not?
RUSH: She never said it. See, this is --
CALLER: Oh, my God.
RUSH: He's my God, too, so watch it.
CALLER: Well, you don't act like it.
RUSH: And I'm going to tell you something: She never said it.
CALLER: She never said it? Okay.
RUSH: This is the problem. Kevin... You're a walking cliche.
You are partly responsible for the problem this country's in, because you are willingly ignorant. You willingly keep yourself stupid and ignorant and uninformed, and you run around and live in your political cliched world, and you unwittingly are contributing to the problem that we've got by not getting up to speed and understanding what's really going on. The people that I assume you support are actively destroying whatever opportunity you might have to make something of yourself someday -- if that opportunity still remains for you. That's an open question. (sigh) Anyway, Kevin, thanks for the call. I appreciate it.

I said it somewhat tongue-in-cheek but I am hesitant to consider someone a personal friend where there is such an idealogical difference in life philosophies. That’s why I cannot fathom a Carville/Matalin union. There would be fireworks in my home.

Of course. The liberals, and ordinary people who don’t look behind the news for themelves, have said it for a couple of years now. And every once in a while the news media repeat it, after having said it hundreds of times back in the fall of 2008, when it first got out there.
Unless you listen to someone like Rush, or question everything that the media reporters say, then why wouldn’t you think she said it? It’s everywhere.
The way that person is responding to Rush is just the reason I quit trying to have any discourse with Liberals, long ago.

I didn't see him as a dope smoker. I saw a 55 yr old union worker that can't explain why he's a dem except his dad was, his grand dad so he must be. Has no friends that have an IQ above 95.

I think that there is a third category as well; partially informed, well meaning true believers. If they were fully informed, they'd either slide over to the evil side, or abandon their liberalism.
I would not consider him a personal friend just someone i hang out and have a few beers with,i live in the bay area if i was only to associate with conservative persons i would live a nomadic existence..
Usually sex,religion and politics are avoided as conversation,but sometimes it creeps in.
Carville/Matlin i can see them leaving politics at the door step and talking about other things..

I have a good Swedish friend, and she also was convinced that it was, in fact, Sarah Palin.
I think some of them want soooo badly for this to be true that they simply make it so.
The only stupid mistake she did was in calling North Korea “South Korea”.

Mostly, I get glassy eyed stares. A few people that don't know me usually call me a "Wise-Assed Republican" or some such. Which doesn't bother a bit, because that's exactly what I am. :-)

It’s my assertion that there are two types of liberals: a) those who are uniformed and therefore ignorant and b) those who are informed and therefore simply evil. Of the 69 million people who voted for Obama, one wonders what percentage of them were ignorant and what percentage of them were evil.I know a LOT of people who are definitely NOT liberal who voted for Obama last time because:
a) Bush and his fag-friend Rove did such a p1ss-poor job defending Bush's highly defendable record
b) the dems and their commie-leader Soros did such a great job of timing the wrecking of the economy just before the election
c) the media did such a great propaganda job of blaming the media-wrecking on Bush (and see #a why Bush and his fag-friend allowed THAT to happen)
d) Fag One Juan McCain campaigned so strongly for Obama.
Taken together, these 4 factors convinced a large number of otherwise sensible people voted for the commie-muzzie kenyan for POTUS.
