There’s nothing wrong with you. We’ve all been driven to “old and cranky.” There’s been little GOOD music since the ‘60’s.....
Why in the hell can’t they just sing the song as it is written without all the friggin screaching?
The penalties for being unprofessional are a lot harsher for a many of us here. Poor little Chrissy.

I emailed the NFL explaining they have a whole year to find someone to respectfully sing the Anthem in Indianapolis, wished them good luck in their search. I guess we can thank God she did not sing God Bless America and have Kate Smith spinning in her grave.

I guess you’re still normal and decent. Don’t worry about. There are worse things.
I live less than 20 miles from Cowboys Stadium and there are plenty of people in Texas who don’t really care all that much for Jerry Jones. His first mistake was firing Tom Landry. Then there’s his lousy and embarrassing cosmetic surgery. And remember when he tried to carry a loaded gun through “security” at DFW?
Nevertheless, Cowboy Stadium is an impressive architectural and engineering achievement (at great cost of course to put it mildly).

She blew it because she is not practiced at singing the National Anthem. She is a pretty package with garbage inside. AKA celebrity.
Get an unknown who sings at everyday baseball games and we would have had a lot better performance.

MTV changed music into “entertainment” and a visual medium based on looks, dance moves, apperance, haircuts, clothes, posing and pouting.
The Buggles even wrote a song about it: “Video Killed The Radio Stars”.
We watched all of that from the Reagan Library and who you describe is not who we saw or heard. She had a lovely dress on. Yes, it was bare armed but...she was playing a guitar and her hair was not STRINGY. She sang beautifully as she always does. The other thing you might like to take into consideration is the fact that Amy Grant is not perhaps as you remember her when she was young, young. She is mature now and she dressed appropriately and sang appropriately and her voice was mellow and beautiful. She was in a beautiful natural state with her clothing, her hair and certainly her voice. Compare her to the dip who sang our most precious song at halftime of the game....she is a LOT younger than Amy Grant but she couldn’t touch Amy with a ten foot pole in looks, natural beauty and talent.
That’s a great idea. Give some unknown talent a chance. Have regular people pick the winner.

Nothing...or perhaps everything is wrong with me.
I unapologetically hate all the communists and I am not nice about it by calling them other things like libs or journalists or president.
