The Muslim Brotherhood, Nazis and Al-Qaeda (background read)
Canada Free Press ^ | April 10, 2006 | John Loftus

"....Here's how you can find all of the missing secrets about the Muslim Brotherhood -- and you can do this, too. I said, "Bob [Bob Baer, ex-CIA and author], go to your computer and type in two words into the search part. Type the word "Banna," B-a-n-n-a. He said, "Yeah." Type in "Nazi." Bob typed the two words in, and out came 30 to 40 articles from around the world. He read them and called me back and said, "Oh my gosh, what have we done?"

What I'm doing today is doing what I'm doing now: I'm educating a new generation in the CIA that the Muslim Brotherhood was a fascist organization that was hired by Western intelligence that evolved over time into what we today know as al-Qaeda....."

Very interesting read on the history of the Muslim Brotherhood, from a former CIA insider. The author ties many historical events together in a cause-effect chronological format.

This is from 2006, so it offers a less bandwagon-driven view than we are seeing from the useful idiots in media who say the Muslim Brotherhood is composed of "moderates".

It renders predictable the events of today, knowing there are about 600,000 Muslim Brotherhood members in Egypt.

Also reinforces Bush 43's worldview, which frankly surprised me and offered a softer tone to the article: "...The Wahhabiism was only practiced by two nations, the Taliban and Saudi Arabia. That's how extreme it is. It really has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is a very peaceful and tolerant religion."

Scary times ahead, as scary as Iran '79, maybe much worse when we factor in this White House.

We might consider whether El Baradei was Obama’s guy all along. Presumably preordained given his UN credential and Nobel prize...so he’s cozy with the MB -what could go wrong? /sarc

He had me until he claimed that islam is a peaceful religion. Tht calls into question his entire story. If he misunderstands islam so badly how can we believe anything he says?

I suspect El Baradei is a hapless trojan horse for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Good question, same one I had. But for that little gem his facts line up well. Are all the bad elements in Islam traceable to the Saudis (Wahhabis)? There is plenty of persecution of Christians in other countries under Islam. At any rate, once the whole Muslim world is indoctrinated under Wahhabism (meaning the young Muslims), then it’ll be a moot point — Islam and Wahhabism will be indistinguishable.

Maybe he just doesn’t know much about religion.

He does rationalize the Bush 43 worldview.

I think Husseini was also the uncle of Yasir Arrafat as well.

I hope there aren’t any Muslim Brotherhood types in the high ranks of the Egyptian military....but that’s probably too much to ask...

All in the name of “democracy” of course.

Though that’s one of their primary critiques of Bush — we had no business trying to “spread democracy” anywhere, let alone the middle east.

But the only Arab middle eastern Democracy is Iraq.

Can't be a train wreck
'Cause that would mean their God King
Is not all that great.

The MFM will gladly throw the entire nation of Egypt to the wolves in order to preserve Oboomba's meaningless approval rating for another three weeks, and think they made a good deal.

Everyone thinks that Islam is this fanatical religion, but it is not. They think that Islam -- the Saudi version of Islam -- is typical, but it's not. The Wahhabi cult was condemned as a heresy more than 60 times by the Muslim nations. But when the Saudis got wealthy, they bought a lot of silence. This is a very harsh cult. The Wahhabiism was only practiced by two nations, the Taliban and Saudi Arabia. That's how extreme it is. It really has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is a very peaceful and tolerant religion. It has always had good relationships with the Jews for the first thousand years of its existence.

I don't know about how factual the rest of Loftus's expose is (and it sounds plausible) but.....

I STOPPED reading when I came to the above quote.

For someone supposedly as informed and erudite when it comes to "Islam," that statement reflects his naivete or woeful ignorance re: the "Religion of--'REST IN'--Peace!"

Too abbreviated for me to know exactly what you meant.

In the strictest definition of "Democracy" it is mob rule. That is, 50 percent plus 1 decides everything; no representation of minorities.

But I think more properly we might say that there is no culture of democracy in the middle east so they can't implement it without corruption; therefore it's unlikely to be workable in these societies. They can't have a clean election.
