Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate, talked Tea Party... in a lively interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that [aired] at 9 ET Monday night. As an active member of the Tea Party movement in Minnesota, I may be expected to take issue with Giuliani's assertion. However, one of the charms of the Tea Party is its defiance of expectation. I actually agree with the mayor.Overall, the Tea Party is a "good" movement, Giuliani said, but it has also attracted "a couple of people that are a little crazy ... "
There are, in fact, a couple people in the Tea Party that are a little crazy. There is a sound explanations for their presence, and for my ability as a Tea Party activist to acknowledge them.

Of course he can’t name even one.
The REAL problem is that, like all northeastern elites, he is made very uneasy by this product of flyover land, a mushrooming grassroots movement over which he has no control, and which offers no social strata based on what school one attended, or who one knows.
Overall, the Tea Party is a “good” movement, Giuliani said, but it has also attracted “a couple of people that are a little crazy ... “
Right Giuliani. Two Tea Party posers. Compared to how many Rino’s in the Republican party. Not to mention the majority of Demorats...
Thank you Mayor, you’re dismissed.
Rudy, we are all a little crazy...just not as crazy as you.
I agree. We are fighting the bigotry of the Elites on all sides of the political spectrum.
That said, I think Rudy should provide concrete examples of what he means here. I find the tea partiers a heck of a lot saner than most.
When people are attracted on the basis of common sense (and the tea parties are actually parties of common sense), they tend to be significantly saner than the rest.
I wonder if he means the tea partiers are a little more colorful or colloquially outspoken...that I would certainly agree with. Tea partiers are regular Americans and Americans come from such a wide spectrum of personalities and cultures that they are guaranteed to appear "quaint" to someone from a different culture (and folks sometimes think "quaint" is a bit "crazy" though it most certainly is not).
Rudy obviously needs to attend more family reunions.
Like McCain, he’s groveling for the MSM’s approval.
ALot of crazies. Just like every other group under the sun, Rudy. But do you talk that way about your queer rights buddies? The gun grabbing lobby?
“Is Rudy still pro-abortion?”
Probably and he is still a RINO. The Tea Party probably scares him a little.
Rudy, you might be right but that is what LOVE does to one. People of the Tea Party LOVE their Country first, not the POWER over their Country. You should start to feel some of that LOVE, its a good thing.
Did Rudy get his honorary Psycologists degree from Sean Hannity, or is he just wingin’ it?
Rudy is a little crazy and his children appear to be a real mess - as is his last ex wife.
FURG
His presidential campaign was a total disaster. Enough said.
Looks like Rudy’s 2012 campaign will be as brilliant as his 2008 campaign.
Where is the photo of Rudy dressed in drag as a chorus whore?
As opposed to FLIRG, referring to Hillary Clinton.
“First Lady Is Really a Guy” (or “really gay”)
It could apply to Moochelle as well, but I’m not going to say what the “G” might stand for.
LOL!!
That’s not photoshopped?
I remember a photo of Rudy dressed in drag fot the gay “pride” parade.
Now I’m not sure if that wasn’t photoshopped, too.
Rudy is a RINO jerk and a perv besides.
Oh, wow, that’s NOT photoshopped!!!
And that loon is calling *US* crazy?
He’s not just a jerk, he’s a jerk^2 (squared).
