Sarah Palin: Why She Must be Destroyed
conservatives4palin ^ | January 27,2010 | techno

Posted on 01/27/2011 4:01:18 AM PST by techno

A while back I laid out my "boxing the compass" premise that there were 32 different approaches or techniques Obama and the Left are using to throw Governor Sarah Palin off her game with the intention of eventually destroying her political career and chances of running for or being President of the United States in 2012.

Well, since the 2010 midterms there has been a "ramped-up" MSM propaganda campaign launched against Sarah Palin but until now the reasons for the increased efforts on behalf of the Left have been offered in dribs and drabs. Well today I will endeavor to bring together 32 reasons why Sarah Palin must be destroyed to help you to better understand how special Sarah Palin really is and why the Left is out to get her. Many of these reasons the Left will never admit to in public; nevertheless they are the truth. Check it out on the internet or blogosphere if you don't believe me.

1)Sarah Palin knows how to topple political giants. In 2006, Sarah Palin accomplished something that may never have been done in the annals of American national or state politics: she defeated in two separate contests in the same election cycle a sitting governor of her own party (in the GOP primary) and a former governor of her state (general election) to win the Governor's chair in 2006.

That makes Sarah Palin a formidable opponent and not someone to be taken lightly. The spotlight will never be too big for Sarah.

2)Sarah Palin has the ability to raise $1 billion dollars as well, much of it online as President Obama intends to do in the 2012 campaign. Obama and the Left are all about winning elections when their opponent is at or put at a severe disadvantage, especially in access to fundraising dollars. Obama raised $400 million more in 2008 than McCain and outspent McCain 10 to 1 in the battleground states. If Palin is the nominee that advantage will be severely narrowed or even eliminated.

3)Sarah Palin is President Obama's #1 nemesis. Notice how Obama (through his surrogates in the MSM) and other prominent Democrats respond to Palin in nasty tones and are constantly ridiculing her while keeping their powder dry when it comes to Romney and Huckabee. Sarah Palin is simply a thorn in Obama's side, gets under his skin, and even more importantly causes him to be thrown off his game or thwarted in pursuing his radical agenda. Figuratively, Sarah Palin gets in Obama's face and he doesn't like it one bit. It's like when Roger Federer faces Rafael Nadal. Federer doesn't enjoy the tennis match one bit. He could lose.

4)Sarah Palin is more than willing to figuratively get into the center of the ring with Obama and duke it out blow for blow, willing to give as much as she takes, and even as important strive for the early knockout and being capable of administering the fatal blow in the early rounds of the fight. And if she doesn't get the knockout she is prepared to go 15 rounds with the Messiah with exuberant energy and enthusiasm and is so doing cutting him up so he draws blood profusely, bruising his upper body and beating him to a pulp over the course of the fight (campaign) and then await the decision of the judges. She will not hold back one inch.

Simply the Left doesn't want to take the chance that Obama can be knocked out (lose in a landslide to Palin) or lose to her in a close decision (in the electoral college). Imho, Palin is the only GOP presidential candidate capable of "knocking Obama out." Thus she must be knocked out of the presidential competition before she even steps into the ring (declares for President/wins the GOP nomination).

5)Sarah Palin's association with the Tea Party movement provides a lot of sleepless night to Obama and his minions. If there is one group most instrumental in changing Obama's political fortunes in 2010 it is the TPM. And for all intents and purposes Palin is the de facto leader of it. Sending her to the sidelines in this next election cycle means the TPM won't have the same ability to rally the electorate against Obama and his radical agenda. The Left knows it but ironically some folks on our side and especially in the TPM are clueless when it comes to Palin. They think they can still beat Obama without Sarah Palin front and center. How stupid is that!

6)What many political observers miss about Palin is that she will only be 48 in 2012 and possessed with an overabundance of energy and youthful exuberance and enthusiasm. In the election post-mortem many voters expressed reservations towards McCain not because of his political record but because of his age. And "ageism" was cited by some political analysts as a primary reason many WHITE conservatives did not vote in 2008. McCain simply did not turn them on or fire them up. And neither did Dole in 1996.

In contrast the Left fears that Palin will do the opposite and turn out many more voters than projected with her youthful superstar charisma and charm that matches that of Obama. Remember unlike Palin who thrives on competition, Obama is all about eliminating the competition, especially competition which is perceived to be his equal.

7)Along with #6, Palin will turn out many more voters of the conservative persuasion than anyone else can. Palin is a Reagan conservative. The Left fully realized that conservatives are a growing part of the electorate now making up 41% of the voting population (2010 exit polls). In 2010 Democrats only got 13% of the conservative vote. In contrast in 2008 Obama got 20% of it which Joel Mowbray, a political analyst, concluded was the primary reason Obama won in 2008. Obama needs to get to 20% of the conservative vote again to ensure his re-election. With Palin the GOP nominee that is not likely; and what is more likely is that he will only get about 13% of the conservative vote in 2012 as the Democrats got in 2010 and therefore lose the election.

8) Sarah Palin does not possess an ounce of WHITE GUILT and will not be intimidated by the MSM who will most certainly accuse her of being too rough on Obama, too insensitive to the needs of minorities or being a racist. In 2008 McCain showed what can happen when you embrace WHITE GUILT. Don't think that the MSM hadn't figured out McCain's key presidential falw before touting him to lead the GOP into battle in 2008.

9)Over the last couple of weeks I have made the point that the 2012 election will hinge on two emotions and which one will prevail over the other: FEAR VS ANGER. If FEAR dominates the political landscape in 2012 mainly perpetrated by the Left and its MSM propaganda machinery we will lose. If ANGER dominates FEAR, we will win as we did in 2010. Sarah Palin has the unique ability to galvanize this ANGER towards Obama and his radical agenda, to then message and stoke it further and finally to keep it alive never allowing it to die. The Left has no answer for this overwhelming ANGER. Their only comeback is to eliminate the person who can bring it out to its maximum intensity.

10)Sarah Palin does not believe in identity politics. Thus she will strive to maximize the turnout of WHITE voters and not waste her time foolishly trying to increase the GOP share of the Hispanic vote. Facts are the GOP received 38% of the Hispanic vote in 2010; there is not much room to grow. Hispanics only make up 9% of the voting population. And finally from Tino Sanandaji, Hispanics only made up 5.1% of the electorate in BATTLEGROUND STATES taken as a whole while WHITES made up over 85% of the electorate in 2008. It's simple math folks but RINO's simply don't get it but instead insist on bending over backwards to attract more Hispanic voters. Sarah Palin does get it and the Left knows it.

11)Sarah Palin once she declares will likely get the quasi-endorsement of Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh has 20 million radio listeners and is the most influential non-political conservative in America. That's huge my friends. The Left knows without Palin in the race, Limbaugh will not be likely fawning over anybody until the nomination has been settled. And the nominee then might not to be to Limbaugh's liking either as it was in 2008.

12)With Sarah Palin the nominee, the likelihood of a viable 3rd party emerging to bleed off disenchanted conservative/socon voters vanishes or is greatly reduced. Obama knows his best chance at re-election is for Romney to get the nomination causing many socons/evangelical Christians in the South to abandon the GOP or sit the election out. Or if Huckabee gets the nomination then fiscal conservatives might sit the election out, go 3rd party or even vote for Obama. Either way Obama wins.

13)Sarah Palin would be a formidable debater and the Left knows it. Biden should have taken her down but she fought him to at least a draw and in some quarters she beat him in 2008. Four years later Palin will be even better on stage. The Left doesn't want to take the chance that Palin will upstage Obama, be a more vigorous debater than him, expose the Messiah for all his warts and take him to the woodshed as Reagan did to Carter in 1980.

14)The Left knows that if Palin runs there will also be a "revenge factor" motivating her to beat Obama for what Obama authorized in Alaska, trying to drive her family into personal bankruptcy and her into political disgrace.

15)And the secular Left is afraid that by having God on her side, Sarah Palin might do the unthinkable and upset the Messiah. Believe it or not the Left knows the Biblical story of David and Goliath.

16)The Left knows national elections are settled by the ground game and GOTV (get out the vote) efforts. In 2008 until McCain brought Palin on board, he was having difficulty energizing the base of the party to work for his election. In 2011 if Palin is the nominee the GOP will have no problem in this area and their enthusiasm will be sky-high because many of these volunteers are socons and evangelicals.

Obama benefits if the base of the GOP is NOT motivated to GOTV for the nominee.

17)Palin is the only candidate capable of bringing together libertarians, social conservatives, Tea Party members, fiscal conservatives, national defense conservatives, and evangelicals under one tent. From a political point of view, Palin's political attractiveness is formidable and the Left realizes once she is capable of pulling this off she stands a great chance of beating Obama.

18)The Left is afraid that Palin's "mama grizzly campaign" will have the same impact on the FEMALE vote as it did in 2010. In case you have forgotten the Dems got 48% of the female vote while the GOP got 49%, the first time in the history of exit polls. If Palin is able to orchestrate her "mama grizzly campaign" again in 2012 and duplicate these results among WHITE female voters, Obama will be toast.

19) The Left is afraid that Palin might choose a Latino Republican like Marco Rubio or Susana Martinez as her running mate and in one fell swoop kill the advantage the Democrats have with Hispanics.

20)Sarah Palin is the best equipped Republican presidential candidate to deal with the Alinsky tactics used by the Left and the MSM propaganda machine. And she is the most capable and willing to fight back against the Left and its MSM propaganda machine as well. She will NOT be kowtowed by false memes about the need for civility during campaigns. Obama and the Left know the best type of GOP candidate to run against is the civil, bipartisan, cooperative type who doesn't stir the pot or cause a lot of commotion or agitation.

21)Sarah Palin is most responsible in the opinion of the Left for the current opposition to Obamacare (death panels). She is serious about seeing it fully repealed and as it is the Left's Holy Grail Palin must be stopped before she gets any chance of dismantling it.

22)As the state of the economy will probably be the #1 issue in the 2012 general election, Palin poses the greatest threat to destroying the Obama economic narrative by invoking Ronald Reagan and the economic prosperity that occurred under his watch. And if she makes Paul Ryan her VP running mate and adopts his road map and economic blueprint that will definitely change the lay of the land.

23)Palin is most likely to bring on board staff members or operatives who are incorruptible and cannot be bribed. Thus leaks are less likely to occur and opportunities at political sabotage on the inside or spy infiltration are less likely or feasible.

24)Palin's boasting that she would run an "unconventional campaign" if she runs makes the Democrats very uneasy. Sarah Palin is the modern version of the Swamp Fox. She knows how to run a successful insurgent guerrilla-style campaign. The Left thrives on beating up on "conventional GOP candidates" as NFL teams have beaten up on the Detroit Lions for years. The Left won't know what's coming with Palin and thus can't completely control the narrative or the events on the ground.

25)Sarah Palin's Facebook omnipresence and her masterful use of Twitter and online video is highly worrisome to Obama and the Left because it will go over the Internet unfiltered. The Left wins elections by controlling the messaging the voters receive and corrupting the message that our side attempts to send out. Palin has the ability to rise above any potential MSM shenanigans like Reagan did and then speak directly and truthfully to the American people, thus exposing for all to see all the flaws and falsehoods of the Obama agenda making him "an emperor with no clothes."

26)One aspect of Palin's resume that is overlooked is that she is the only one of the major GOP contenders for President to ever have witnessed the day to day operations of a presidential campaign from the inside and participated directly in it as a candidate. Yes, the 2008 presidential campaign was NOT orchestrated by her but nevertheless during the 60 odd days on the trail, she would have picked up some valuable information and insight to the workings of a presidential operation that will stand her in good stead when she runs her own presidential campaign and she will know what mistakes not to make. The other candidates if they gain the nomination have to start from scratch.

27)The Left needs to destroy Palin because she is highly presentable, personable, articulate, charismatic, always smiling and optimistic, dresses well and is stylish and that she is an extremely beautiful woman. The Left knows of studies that show the more beautiful or handsome one is the better chance one will get ahead in life. Ugly doesn't sell on the campaign trail in the 21st century especially when you are up against a handsome devil named Obama.

28)Palin must be destroyed because she is a superstar performer extraordinaire and has the ability to resonate far and wide. She has instant name recognition. And even more important she has a great ability to change people's minds once they get to know her and listen to her policy positions. Once a Palinista, always a Palinista is so true.

29)Sarah Palin will NOT compromise her principles or ever capitulate to the Left. Like Winston Churchill she will carry on despite tremendous adversity and never give up. She cannot be intimidated and that scares the bejesus out of the Left. How many lives does this woman have? How many times has she risen from the ashes like the proverbial phoenix?

30)As a follow-up to #10, Sarah Palin is the candidate who is most likely to duplicate the results of the 2010 election when it comes to WHITE turnout and the breakdown of the vote. For the record WHITE voters represented 77% of the electorate in 2010 and the voting breakdown was 60% for the GOP and 37% for the Democrats. If Sarah can duplicate these numbers in 2012 it will be a landslide win for her.

31)Sarah Palin has a tremendous TV presence that is comparable to Obama but it goes way beyond presentation. She brings an authenticity or sincerity to the table that Obama cannot even begin to approach. To the Left they try to brand it as naivete or unsophistication. To the heartland she is one of us and knows how we speak and think. It is this grassroots appeal that Palin has that supersedes anything that the Left can bring to bear. Take down Sarah Palin, the grassroots doesn't have a champion or anybody they can relate with. Politics becomes ho-hum, ho-hum, the grassroots isn't as excited and motivated and Obama easily wins re-election.

32)And finally the last reason Sarah Palin must be destroyed is that she is a serious threat to the implementation of the full-blown socialist agenda which has been in the works for the past 40 years. The Left has worked too damned hard to come so far and to see all their plans go up in smoke in the 11th hour. The hocley mom from Wasilla must be destroyed as Lex Luther had to destroy Superman. Sarah Palin is kryptonite to the Left and they know it and she knows it as well.

Destroy Sarah Palin and the Left knows America is ours for all time.

Wow! The insights into the Hispanic vote and perhaps a glimpse of a strategy for a running mate are very good. There’s quite a few on Sarah’s side doing their homework as much as she is. Great read.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if the left spends so much time and effort to destroy Palin that we end up with Bachmann as President?

or Palin/Bachmann

or something like that.

The left would go nuts.

Have you noticed it is now Bachmann who is “running interference” for Sarah Palin by being in the spotlight currently and dare I say now “in the crosshairs” of the Left and the MSM more than Palin is.

Is it deliberate on Michele’s part or is it just coincidental? That is a subject of great debate in the blogosphere right now.

Great article!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with every word in it - except for one statement. IMO, Obama is NOT a handsome devil! He may be a devil, but handsome he is not! BTW, I am a white woman who has been married to the same white man for 37 years, but I frequently find black men attractive. I just never have thought Obama could compare to a Denzel Washington or a Dwayne Johnson.

I knew I was flirting in dangerous waters when I referenced him in that manner but no matter how I personally feel about Obama he is a good looking man. And believe me I have a real hard time being objective about the Messiah.

I’m sorry, but, I have serious doubts that 2 women on the same ticket could win. And, I love both of these women. I just have serious doubts about this.

I don’t know. It has been almost impossible for a House member to become President, maybe thats exactly what she is doing?

Maybe she wants a cabinet post?

Actually I do too unless she brings Susana Martinez on board which is a real long shot.

I agree a male running mate has to be strongly considered but unlike many posters I favor Paul Ryan over an “older” foreign affairs hand like John Bolton.

I think the state of the economy will be huge in 2012 and the Paul Ryan road map will be front and center.

The Left is scared to death of Palin. It will be an all out war by the Left to make sure she does not get the nomination.

Good looking?

He looks like Satan. More so all the time.

Why people claim he’s (pick one) good looking, intelligent, inspiring, is beyond this poster.

I see only dishonesty and bs. And a LOT of marxism.

He’s quite ugly, imho.

“Wouldn’t it be amazing if the left spends so much time and effort to destroy Palin that we end up with Bachmann as President?”

Actually, the Left is already “gunning” (excuse the violent metaphor) for Michelle Bachmann. I was flipping around the tube (another metaphor, actually a flat screen)and came across Chris Mathews and his Hard Ball. So, out of curiosity I watched for a bit. Chris and his willing idiots were yucking it up over some errors that Michelle apparently had made concerning John Adams and a few other things. They disdain for Michelle was the same as for Sarah, stating that she is dumb, doesn't know her material, not qualified to be POTUS, etc, etc. I wanted to puke. So, kept flipping and moved along. It's easy to see, even with my public school education, why MSBC is tanking in the ratings, yeaaaa......

We really need to become comfortable accusing liberals of sexism.

No need to pretend, because that’s EXACTLY what they are.

Sexists.

Call them that.

What a great article. Just one more thing (as Columbo used to turn around and say as he was going out the door): Sarah must be destroyed because she is the biggest threat in 75 years to the left’s holy grail — the Supreme Court. There has never been a true Evangelical on the Court, and she could conceivably appoint one (or two, or three). That thought is so repulsive to the left that they will (and must) do anything to destroy her.
She probably wouldn’t; but the left will never believe that; therefore, they must drive a stake clean through her heart.
She is the most precious political commodity I have seen in a long time. She is the Continental Divide. And the reasons expressed in this column, and the one that I added, tell why.
