We have to be honest folks, Fox news has been drifting further and further left over the past several years.
The natural instinct of most conservatives is to defend the channel that the far left attacks on a daily basis.
A similar occurrence came during the eight years of the Bush administration, where the left was viscous, conservatives defended as we witnessed a president advance a very liberal agenda.
My point is that the formula that who the left hates and goes after is not necessarily who they oppose (As in Palin) but a tactic to redefine what right wing news is, leaving a conservatives isolated, as out of the mainstream while in reality making up the majority.
Now at FOX we have people who claim the center and hear both sides of the issues in a sort of consensus building liberal manner.
There is no right or left in the truth, so a motto like" fair and balanced "seems more along the lines of the Hegelian dialectic (Marx) than a show determined to get down to the facts.
We are told to praise someone like Juan Williams, who has stated many times that the Tea Party is racist and that conservatives are extreme.
If you don't think the NPR comments were a set up to have conservatives embrace him at FOX then I think you need to open your eyes.
Beck is probably the only palatable show.
Hannity has become unwatchable; from time to time he has on a conservative like Bachmann, Palin or Demint but for the most part he has ex Bush elites who despise the Tea Party and mock the most conservative candidates while giving Obama a pass on his radical transformation of the country.
When Sean brings up the whole Newt conservative revolution, I want to hurl on myself.
Is Sean this naive, all you have to do is look up his voting record for the last 30 years?
So here we have Michelle Bachmann giving a speech tonight post state of the union and FOX does not have the common decency to air what most of its viewers want to see; an American patriot, not an inside the beltway hack, reminding us that we do have a voice in Washington.
The left has effectively made us think that Bush was a conservative and that Fox news reports the truth both are flat out lies.

There is danger for Democrats in recent attempts to dismiss the tea party movement as violent racists deserving of contempt. Demonizing these folks may energize the Democrats’ left-wing base. But it is a big turnoff to voters who have problems with the Democratic agenda that have nothing to do with racism.
Putting a racial lens on the tea party activists may also help Democrats by painting congressional Republicans into a corner as debate begins on immigration reform. Hispanic voters are going to be looking at Republicans and their tea party supporters for evidence of racism in any effort to block reform.
The tea party outrage over health-care reform, deficit spending and entitlements run amok is no fringe concern. And it is insulting to all voters to suggest that criticism of President Obama, even by people who want to throw him out of office, is motivated by racism

I don’t agree with Juan about politics but that statement about him is flat out untrue. I like the truth...
Then ask yourself the question: why would this known leftist outlet which has been attempting to falsely smear all conservatives & the Tea Party as freaking mass murderers for pete's sake be so very hot to trot to air the Bachmann response?
Could it be that if Bachmann diverts attention, dilutes the message and diminishes the impact of the Ryan response, she confuses the public by creating cacophony out of the opposition's case and all the members of the public out there whom we need to persuade in order to make real conservative change in this country will be left with really only one message (from the POTUS & speaking for all lib dems) which will achieve a clear & unified and therefore more powerful & persuasive resonance?
Barack & ALL the Dems in DC & across the country will be coming out with a single 'mission statement' for the public to digest tonight.
As it is, even had Bachmann not self-servingly chosen to insert herself into the mix, we'd have been at a severe PR disadvantage in getting our message accorded the same level of importance as his by the biased MSM.
But now thanks to Bachmann, and at a very critical moment, we're stupidly divvying up into separate little teams and sending out a divided, confusing defense against the Democratic power establishment's unified offensive line.
THAT's why CNN is more than thrilled to air Bachmann's attention-diverting response. By giving the press the hand-engraved invitation to cover the divisions among Republicans rather than a cohesive message itself, Bachmann actually helps the MSM's very good friends in this White House & at the DNC.
Sure, lots of US would like to hear what she has to say. But we're already well & truly convinced Obama and the Dems are sending the country to ruin. It doesn't matter for us whether she turns our alternative to the Dem agenda into a muddled, cacophonic mess because we ALREADY FRIKKIN' GET IT!
But it sure as hell does matter if the rest of the country whom we need to convincingly communicate our message in order to pull this nation back from the brink of disaster gets distracted & confused by what we're trying to say. We just don't get many opportunities like this to speak in unison to the nation with a clear persuasive voice, and Bachmann is inexplicably trying to piss it away!
So no, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Fox was the only cable outlet fair enough to the conservative side to give us the most strategically advantageous opportunity possible to deliver our response to the millions of people who need to hear it. And I for one will be eternally grateful if, unlike CNN, FNC decides NOT to sabotage the clarity of the opposition's case right after the leftlib dem one the Prez gets to make by himself tonight holding a much bigger megaphone than ours. And I'm not even a fan of FoxNews - haven't watched 'em except on election nights in years!
I stopped watching the FNC prime-time lineup YEARS ago.
IMHO, FNC jumped the shark within a year after 9/11, but many here would argue it was only within the past year or two.
I first started to see FNC trending more liberal while watching O’Reilly one warm evening in 2002.
Heck this was before the Iraq war even started!
I think the bottom line is this: FNC is still trying to win over “moderate” CNN and MSNBC viewers.
FNC figures it’s worth losing some conservatives to gain two to three times more “moderate” to liberal viewers.
FNC’s audience may indeed continue to grow using this strategy, but in the meantime what we really get is what I coined RNN (RINO NEWS NETWORK).
FNC is dead. RNN has taken over.
She cannot have it both ways. If she's a Republican, get with the Party -— literally —— and let Paul Ryan give the response.
All Ms. Bachmann will do with this continued love of theater is split the Republican base and usher in four more years of BO.
She needs to decide.
Just sent off my disappointment to Fox. Another will follow telling them that I will turn to CNN if Fox doesn’t change their minds.
I am intereste to see what Ryan and Bachmann say. No on with a brain listens to a teleprompter being read by an artful liar. Bob
Tea Party Express just blasted that they’ll be streaming the Bachmann SOTU tonight: http://www.teapartyexpress.org/stream/
Maybe I am missing something here... but where the hell else do we go? I only watch Hannity when the guests merit me watching him. It has always been that way. I DVR Beck...He has pretty much been the same. Come on, people on here are complaining about him? I watch “Fox and Friends”... they have the same guests on they always have. Maybe it is just me, but what the hell are you all complaining about... Fox is about the same as it was 3 years ago but with the addition of ‘Hannity Only” (No more liberal nutcake Holmes) and also the addition of Glenn Beck. Fox business with Neil Cavuto, Eric Bolling and so many more fiscal conservatives is also a good alternative. I get news here, the Blaze and Drudge. If anything, there is more Conservative news sources than I can ever remember. Come on people... we have to stop attacking each other. We can decide to hang together or most assuredly hang alone! (Ben Franklin)
Maybe, but Ailes hired Beck and is KEEPING him on in spite of all the screaming from the Mainslimes.
I resent Bob Beckel and several other creeps he seems to adore!
It's probably full, hah, full of our blue darts to him re: not covering Bachmann tonight.
Well, I'm sure enough emails got through to him voicing displeasure. We'll see if Fox backtracks and covers her to mollify us protestors.

And I dont give a flip what th e”official”Republican Party response is— I sat through enough of those love fests to believe the Republicans could put out anything critical of any Democrat. I want to hear what Ms. B has to say. The “official” Republicans say one thing when the campaign and then do the McCain once they get the vote.

:-)!

Amen Stony... AMEN!
LLS
It’s a web cast. Everybody can watch it, and they don’t need a cable news station to show it.
Ask yourself why CNN is showing it when Fox isn’t — you think CNN is trying to promote the conservative cause?
She doesnt need to do anything of the sort. The Republican establishment needs to start backing the people.

No I didnt say that, but making the point on how FOX is shunning America.
