We have to be honest folks, Fox news has been drifting further and further left over the past several years.
The natural instinct of most conservatives is to defend the channel that the far left attacks on a daily basis.
A similar occurrence came during the eight years of the Bush administration, where the left was viscous, conservatives defended as we witnessed a president advance a very liberal agenda.
My point is that the formula that who the left hates and goes after is not necessarily who they oppose (As in Palin) but a tactic to redefine what right wing news is, leaving a conservatives isolated, as out of the mainstream while in reality making up the majority.
Now at FOX we have people who claim the center and hear both sides of the issues in a sort of consensus building liberal manner.
There is no right or left in the truth, so a motto like" fair and balanced "seems more along the lines of the Hegelian dialectic (Marx) than a show determined to get down to the facts.
We are told to praise someone like Juan Williams, who has stated many times that the Tea Party is racist and that conservatives are extreme.
If you don't think the NPR comments were a set up to have conservatives embrace him at FOX then I think you need to open your eyes.
Beck is probably the only palatable show.
Hannity has become unwatchable; from time to time he has on a conservative like Bachmann, Palin or Demint but for the most part he has ex Bush elites who despise the Tea Party and mock the most conservative candidates while giving Obama a pass on his radical transformation of the country.
When Sean brings up the whole Newt conservative revolution, I want to hurl on myself.
Is Sean this naive, all you have to do is look up his voting record for the last 30 years?
So here we have Michelle Bachmann giving a speech tonight post state of the union and FOX does not have the common decency to air what most of its viewers want to see; an American patriot, not an inside the beltway hack, reminding us that we do have a voice in Washington.
The left has effectively made us think that Bush was a conservative and that Fox news reports the truth both are flat out lies.
CNN may beat FNC in the ratings for the first time in a decade during that time slot.
LOL
Yep, they’re marching to the tune of the old GOP. They will do all they can to get either Mitt or Jeb the 2012 nomination, just like they gave us John McOld.
So, guess we’ll all be switching to CNN to watch Bachman.
Thanks. They should broadcast it as well...
“If her rebuttal is unremarkable or poor then - as in the case of Jindal - her 2012 run is over before it starts”
That’s an exaggeration. If Jindal’s out of the big picture, it’s because of Jindal as a whole. I don’t care how bad his reception at the time was, neither in the beltway nor the blogosphere. People forget, and regular people never cared, anyway.
Bill Clinton did one of those rebuttal things some year and in my opinion failed. By the time he won the Democratic nomination he came from the back of the pack, after surviving a series of scandals and surprising absolutely everyone. Someone or other after Jindal’s fizzle tried to present Clinton’s long-ago rebuttal as a star-making turn. But that was revisionist nonsense. Nobody cared then, nobody cared afterwards. He became the Bill Clinton we know in the ‘92 primary, not before.
thanks
VOTE WITH YOUR REMOTE !!!!
They’re just afraid of being called a “right-wing” network.
CNN doesn’t have that problem.
Cowards
I agree with you. I don't watch TV news anymore, not even Fox. I watch Beck (I pre-record it) and thats it. I get my news primarily from the internet and primarily from FR and the news sites the stories come from.
I realize to do it well is a big job. Its one thing for me to write a little rant capping on someone else's article. Its another to do original reporting; I note that Beck has a rather large crew doing the research for his show, and you can tell the difference between what he does and what others do who don't have the staff for research.
But FR has the entire world, and thousands of people digging out stories and commenting on them. So in effect you have the combined talents of thousands. Weird how it works, but it works.
I suspect someone here at FR with a little talent and some streaming audio or video could leverage this up to another level. I'm not sure what it would take technically but its got to be a lot less than a traditional broadcaster.

Here's the email addy to his office.....Comments@foxnews.com.
This is a FREEP.

I wonder how much public trust and Good Will, this will cost FMC for favoring the Country Club RINOs, over their loyal viewership.

Geez.
Thanks for the link. And I agree with your point. Someone who keeps voting for the bail-outs isn’t exactly a tea party conservative.
You’re an idiot and you’re “in the enemy camp”.
“If some of us didn’t watch and report... you will have no idea when the SS is coming to take you to the Gulag. They will come for all of us... knowledge is our only hope and defense.”

Well said!
I quietly quit watching Fox News about 2 years ago. Now I get almost all of my news here. And I’m usually several days if not weeks in front of the print and television news cycles...
Forget Fox News. Fox Business Channel is where it’s at: Cavuto, Judge Napolitano, Bolling, Varney, Stossel, Asman — no RINOs there.
Bachmann’s speech will be the ONLY speech I watch tonight.
