What would Twitter have been like on September 11, 2001? This was the question posed to ESPNs Bill Simmons by comedian Patton Oswalt on Simmons podcast, The BS Report. While the question may be a bit morbid, it is interesting to speculate. However, Oswalts response was somewhat odd:
But to see it boiled down like that, and especially if not only Twitter had existed but the right-wing noise machine had existed and the left-wing. You know like, the way it is now, it would be, and I do not equate the left-wing noise machine with the right-wing noise machine because the left-wing noise machine seems to be based more on facts, where are the right-wing one seems to be based more on accusation and feelings.
Simmons quickly changed the subject and moved onto other incidents that would have been interesting to follow on Twitter such as the infamous Superbowl XXXVIII nipplegate.
However, Oswalts comments especially implying that September 11 would have been politicized by the right-wing noise machine shouldnt surprise anyone. Oswalt, best known as the pathetic sidekick Spence on the long-running CBS comedy series King of Queens is just another Tinseltown lefty -, having been interviewed by the Huffington Post and regularly advocates for liberal positions on his Twitter page.

Another deep thinking court jester weighs in.
Pffft...
this guy looks exactly like that lady Obama put on the court, Elena Kagan
Why does anyone report or care what this stumpy, inarticulate, foul-mouthed little turd has to say?
We are ignoring these folks at our own peril. All of these accusations are sticking to the folks. We cannot allow this. We need an A Team. We seem to kill our own though.

Yup: Oswalt is on that list of folks in showbiz who ... well, let’s just say I try not to cause any money to flow into their pockets if possible. It’s why I wouldn’t pay to see loony James Cameron’s “Avatar.” I see some of Oswalt’s good, apolitical shtick, but I see it for free on YouTube.
At some level, I have to respect him for this, though: He KNOWS he’s going to lose business in this sense, yet he flaps his mouth anyway. Even Robin Williams — obviously a big lefty too — usually tries to keep his material somewhat politically ecumenical. Oswalt, in contrast, is aiming for (”Ratatouille” co-star) Jeneane Garofalo’s career path.

More like Tim Horton's.
Bravo good sir/mam Bravo!
The left: “Palin is an idiot! Palin caused the shootings in Tucson! Palin says she sees Russia from her house! Bush caused 9-11! Bush lied about WMD in Iraq! We have to ban guns because of what happened in Tucson! It’s all that right-wing rhetoric that caused the shootings!”
Yep... the left is all about facts.
Someone toss that dwarf!
He’s just mad because he doesn’t have an Emmy or a Golden Globe like William Shatner does.
somebody got the sign wrong in that equation
Yep a regular Einstein.

You’re too kind.
That’s why he’s funny. The Left promotes false ideas as though they are fact.
