The House of Palin is crumbling, at least if you're willing to believe the most notorious liars in media, the National Enquirer, who report today that Todd Palin, the famed "First Dude" and father of five, cheated on Sarah Palin, potential presidential hopeful, with a "female massage therapist who was busted for prostitution!" Shailey Tripp, the woman in question, does at the very least exist in Wasilla, Alaska, but beyond that, the tabloid's tip comes from an anonymous email address, thepalinmorals@hotmail.com, who writes: "My sources reveal that a massage therapist and computer technologist, SHAILEY TRIPP, had an affair with Todd Palin that lead (sic) to her arrest March of 2010." Could it be?
Probably not, but here's more from the Enquirer's online tease for their print issue (buy the issue, they say!):
"According to the tenants in the building of her offices, they saw Todd come and go often and heard noises that sounded like someone was having sex. It was the same tenants who called the police on her."
An ENQUIRER investigation has confirmed Tripp, 36, was arrested on March 4, 2010 in Anchorage and charged with maintaining a house of prostitution.
Tripp pleaded no contest on June 13, 2010 with sentencing set for June 15, 2011. She agreed to complete 80 hours of volunteer service, not post advertisements on CraigsList and pay a fine of $500. If she meets with these conditions, Tripp can withdraw her plea at the sentencing hearing and the case will be dismissed, records show.

The Enquirer’s track record is really questionable. They hit many and miss many others.
Some notable misses :
In 1981, actress Carol Burnett won a judgment against the Enquirer after it claimed she had been seen drunk in public at a restaurant with Henry Kissinger in attendance. The fact that both of her parents suffered from alcoholism made this a particularly sensitive issue to Burnett. Under U.S. law, in order to be guilty of libel against a public figure such as Burnett, a publication must be shown to have knowingly, or with reckless regard for the truth, disseminated facts that were false and defamatory, making Burnett’s successful suit unusual in the world of American tabloid journalism.
The Enquirer settled a libel lawsuit with the wife of Gary Condit out of court in 2003, lost a suit brought by Kate Hudson in 2006, and has been or is currently being sued by a number of other public figures.
Of course, they published an alleged affair of Obama himself with a lady named Vera Baker ( which they later had to retract ).
They were wrong about the Obama marriage.
Check out the picture of the woman he’s supposedly been cheating with. Safe to say, Todd hasn’t strayed away from Sarah for that fat skank.
Todd Palin isn’t running for prez, who cares what he does or doesn’t do, other than his immediate family, it’s nobody’s business — it’s not like he got arrested or something, right?

Actually, the left is scared, very scared that Sarah Palin just might become President.
That’s why as early as this point in time, they are trying ANYTHING, including blaming her for the Tucson massacre in order to stall her momentum.
We even have a reporter Joe McGinnis RENTING A HOUSE NEXT to Sarah Palin’s in order to dig some juicy dirt on her if he could ( he eventually gave up ).
Talk about a candidate being vetted before being elected.... Sarah Palin has been the MOST VETTED politician that I know of. Obama does not even come close.
You’re absolutely correct. Trying to compare this to Clinton or Edwards is ridiculous. If Gov. Palin was having or had an affair there might be a story. Even if Todd had an affair, which I don’t believe, he’s not the one who might be running for President, nor has he held any elected office.
Edwards was running for President, Todd Palin is not.
You people who immediately diss the Enquirer are hypocrites. You believe every word they write about liberals.
Maybe it’s true. Maybe Sarah is busy, gone a lot, preoccupied, and Todd doesn’t feel so important. Who knows why he would do this? Maybe being a househusband, raising kids and doing dishes leaves him feeling less than masculine. He’s not a metrosexual.
If Sarah didn’t know, now let’s see how she reacts. It will be part of seeing her true character. Will she forgive him, or dump him? Will she take responsibility for some of the problems? Will Todd be sorry and promise never to do it again?
And it certainly appears, if true, that he was Not having a love affair. He was having a massage with happy ending, which is being serviced.
Cheating yes, but an affair, not so much.
If it’s true. But it might be because most of their big rumors have been lately. The Obama affair with a girl was probably started by his team.
