WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH SARAH PALIN???
Self | January 20, 2011 | MestaMachine

Posted on 01/20/2011 1:03:30 PM PST by MestaMachine

Having been alerted to Sarah before John McCain ever picked her as his VP running mate, hoping against hope that she would actually be the one, I was nevertheless surprised, albeit overjoyed, when he announced her. She did not fit him. She was everything he is not nor can ever hope to be.

The outpouring of love and admiration for Sarah was a thing to behold! Conservative coffers, closed to McCain, suddenly swung wide open showering huge cash on Sarah...and we all know it was the exact opposite of what McCain expected.

His poll numbers went up like a rocket and she outshined him like the sun outshines the moon. He was only seen ever after in her glow, and so they had to diminish her in any way they could. His campaign staff is still on the job and his own backhanded damning with faint praise "defense" of her is nothing short of shameful.

When she was attacked mercilessly by the hard left, he and his campaign never stepped up to the plate to blunt the attack machine, and meanwhile, McCain defended obama with great zeal, telling us all that indeed, obama would make a wonderful president, that he was a "patriot," and he chided the Conservatives who tried to take obama on for his socialist policies.

In short, McCain's own campaign not only did NOT defend Sarah, they fed the opposition ammunition to use in their attempt to destroy her.

Since then, Sarah has done what no politician in my lifetime has ever done, and she did it during the same time that the hardcore left was digging under every rock from since the day she was born to find something, anything, they could use to defame, discredit, and destroy not just her, but her entire family.

And they have failed utterly.

The extreme leftist women who have gleefully slandered her are the dregs of femaledom. Some look and act as though they have been preserved in formaldehyde. Others, including many of the RINO women, look as though they are wearing botox deathmasks and/or fifty or a hundred extra pounds. Still others are so filled with venom that their inner ugliness shows on the outside. They shot their worst at Sarah and only succeeded in finding themselves covered with the blowback of their own exhaust...as it should be. Spit into the wind and find youself covered in slime.

The men on the left who excoriate her on an almost daily basis are the most insecure examples of "manhood" I have ever seen. Not a single one of them could do what she has done, let alone in such a short amount of time. They seem to need to prove their manliness by being tough on ladies. And when I say "ladies," you know I am speaking of Conservative women because the left just doesn't produce that kind of quality. As a group, gay or straight, you seldom see even a remnant of the class that Conservative women all over this country exude. The women of the left are shrill and shrieky to the point where one simply can't stand to listen, and if you try, what you most often hear was not worth the time you took because three quarters of what they say either makes no sense, or it is outrageous and ridiculous.

The men on the left are pretty much in the same category. It makes one wonder whether they are jealous because she has Todd...and they don't.

Then we have our own so-called "conservative" men who have been so used to running the show...and the party...into the ground, that they cannot brook the thought that a "mere" soccer mom from Alaska, of all places, could do in one year what most of them cannot do in a lifetime. All of their "achievements" have been because they got somewhere on someone else's coattails, and they played fast and loose with their core "values" and "principles" to do it.

Newt Gingrich comes to mind. Does he think we have forgotten who he was in his previous life? Or that he attacked Conservatives for demanding that those who represent us DO adhere to core values and principles?

Charles Krauthammer, who sometimes has flashes of conservatism, all too often doesn't. He is an insider who runs with the pack, and his views are often couched in an "old boy" elitism that makes me want to throw shoes at my television.

Those are just two, but you get my drift. The men who have held on to the reins of power are having serious withdrawal symptoms. But I have news. The women Conservatives in the Republican Party are strong and growing stronger. We will not allow the old boy network to overshadow us or the Conservative men who stand for ALL of us and not for themselves. It is no longer your establishment party, and Sarah is just the tip of the iceberg.

John McCain, chameleon that he is, might have done his greatest public service, whether he intended to or not, by choosing Sarah Palin as his runnung mate. It has ushered in a new age of American politics the likes of which hasn't been seen since the FIRST American Revolution.Would that he had retired gracefully and left that as his legacy. Alas.

Now back to the original question. What in the world IS wrong with Sarah Palin? And the answer, without any equivocation, is...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

THAT is what drives the whacko left and the elitist "moderate right" to insane distraction. They have left no stone unturned to find one, just ONE, thing wrong with her, and they can not do it because it doesn't exist. All they have found is graciousness, intelligence, honesty, humanity, strength, conviction, patriotism, and faith. She has stood up and they will never succeed in knocking her down because she doesn't NEED them.

Know thyself and to thine own self be true. That is Sarah. And we know Sarah.

I have only been wrong about one presidential election in the last 30 years and that was Clinton's second term.

Well, that's a big one. You thought Dole would win???

Methinks you will be wrong about Obama's second term as well. I loved Bob Dole and all, but he had no chance, given the context. Palin is no Dole.

I’m listening intently [half watching] Michele via the link you posted. Thank you very much. Red Eye is not very interesting tonight.

I don’t see Sarah doing the “reach across the aisle” crap. It would be more like...Here’s the CONSTITUTIONAL way of doing it. If you want to come along, that’s fine.

Right. Let the battle lines be drawn. Let the "independents" finally decide whether they believe in the Constitution and limited government, or rather Socialism and the Welfare State: either fish or cut bait...

WHEN she chooses, IF she chooses, she will win.

I agree, and I share your passion. I think more and more people will have an epiphany with respect to supporting her, as I have experienced. For me, it came in t he aftermath of this shooting. The Left's (and the Establishment's) deepest fears have been exposed for all the country to see, especially independents. They have not been so terrified of a conservative political figure in my lifetime, and that includes Reagan, since I was born in 1965. When you comprehend it, it tells you everything you need to know.

Sarah is Reaganesque. She's the Reagan for the 21st century. I believe she will eclipse Reagan, if given the opportunity.

In November 2012, the Newsweek headline will be "We Are All Palinistas Now!"

YES! Moses.
Had his own sweet life. Went from that place into a wilderness. Found a mate whom he loved and was, for all practical purposes, happy with his lot.
The bush burned.
Moses obeyed. He herded cats. If you read Exodus, the ways in which Sarah has lived her life and the moonbattery she has weathered, is as wide and as deep as any biblical tale I can think of.
He withstood dissention from his own people. He battled for freedom, wisdom, understanding. They mocked his speech. They plotted against him, yet he kept going, day after day, year after year.
Those who compare Sarah Palin to Deborah and/or Sarah, or Esther, do so because she is a woman. But she is more than a woman. She does not use her beauty as Esther did. She does not send a general to do her battles as Deborah did.
To compare her as woman to woman does not even begin to give her credit for all that she is or what she will become.

Michele gets to the nitty-gritty about half-way through, and from there it just keeps getting better.

In several clips of her stops in Iowa today, Michele responded to "that question" by saying she was in Iowa to emphasize the issues before us, and to "set the table".

We need all of these Constitutional leaders. Clearly Michele and Sarah (and Rush and Levin) are on the same team, and they are reminding us that "We the People" are all on the same team, and we all must recognize the seriousness of this fight, the issues at stake; and we must win.

She'd better get into the ring...and win some.

She has. Did you follow the recent elections? That counts for something...

I trust her. There is no other politician on earth I can say that about without lying through my teeth.

Well said.

“We need all of these Constitutional leaders. Clearly Michele and Sarah (and Rush and Levin) are on the same team...”

I wonder what the relationships between the various Founding Fathers were? I imagine many of them were coming at it from seperate angles and viewpoints and even timeframes. And they obviously didn’t all think the same way, and I imagine some of them, if they were to meet, would have had a strong dislike for each other.

But - they were all Patriots, and on the same team going after similar (but not exactly the same) goals.

Love of country...surpassed love of self. These men were, in their finest moments, when it counted most, honorable and selfless PATRIOTS.

I have to agree with Onyx; "Coming from you, that’s very meaningful." Scary meaningful, considering the obstinence of the people of both times.

The flow and outcome of this story is also dependent on the people and their willingness to move in a positive direction.

I’m going to sign-out now with plenty of sweet thoughts on my mind. We have a battle in front of us, but *we* have our leader. Prayers & Hugs and I’ll see you later today. [It’s late!]

As in the Revolutionary Era, we also have some who pretend to be on the same side, but are actually working for the opposition. We have steaming piles of Loyalists (of the Beltway Cocktail set). And we will no doubt have some Benedict Arnolds before this is over. Every piece of history has similar arrays of characters.

I’ve heard that “History doesn’t repeat itself. But it sure rhymes!”

Though I wish it were otherwise, as of now (today) Ms. Palin does not have enough votes to place a distant third in a republican primary (yes...my opinion).

Latest Wapo Republican primary poll: Huckabee 21%, Palin 19%, Romney 17%.

(Source)

And this despite a week of withering LSM criticism. Like Rush says, the Left will let us know who they fear.

Sarah will do great in any debate because she sticks to core principles and doesn't get lost in the weeds.

She walked the walk. She showed up for us. She didn’t stay in the bunker and watch through a slit in the armor. She didn’t just join the battle, she led it. And no matter what anyone says or what words they say to detract from it, SHE WON hands down and WE won, hands down.

Well said. #101 mega-bump.

That’d be #105. But #101 is close.
Thank you. It’s the simple truth.
