Wonder what recently elected WV Senator Manchin’s take on this is.

I think he has to run again in 2012, and his Zero-ness just exposed his flank.

The number one enemy of America isn’t Osama Bin Laden. It’s the leftists in government, starting with Bacrock Obama and Harry Reid.

Why don’t the Republicans defund the EPA?

I wonder if the guy had uranium, silicon, aluminum, or copper mining when he thought of this idea, because we will be mining these materials for generating power if it’s not coal we are looking for.

The EPA just slapped multi-million dollar fines on a coal-fired power plant in my county claiming it’s violating clean air laws. The plant owners insist they are and have been obeying the laws. All of a sudden, the government decides they’re not in compliance. This is a major producer of electricity for the east coast. It employs many local workers in an area that has seen high unemployment for years.

Obama is following up on his promise to make our utility rates “skyrocket.” He intends to ruin the American economy and competitiveness and reduce the standard of living for Americans. I hope the Democrats who represent this area can join with Republicans and stop him.

Well we now know that 0bambi has read at least a few pages of Sir Winston Churchill's "History of the Second World War."

Churchill to the war cabinet:

Strategic targets to defeat the Nazi's:

1. Target oil refining and coal mining industries for destruction

2. Destroy manufacturing capacity starting with ball bearing manufacturing

Obama campaigned on a promise to shut down the coal industry so it should not be a big surprise that he is actually doing it.

Elections do have consequences.

Maybe the Obama people in West Va., Kentucky, Pennsylvania can fill their kids bellies with “Yes We Can!” bunmper stickers.

Here are the top 15 coal producing states (2009 data) and who they voted for in 2008.

U.S. Coal Production by State & by Rank (2009)

Rank - State - Production - % of Total U.S. - Voted For

1 - Wyoming - 431,107 tons - 40.1% - McCain
2 - West Virginia - 136,971 tons - 12.7% - Obama
3 - Kentucky 107,338 tons - 10.0% - Obama
4 - Pennsylvania 57,979 tons - 5.4% - Obama
5 - Montana 39,486 tons - 3.7% - McCain
6 - Texas 35,093 tons - 3.3% - McCain

We have an oil drilling moratorium in parts of the Gulf of Mexico and off both coasts. ANWR and other energy-rich areas in and off Alaska are off-limits, as are vast areas in the West. Nuclear power is stalled and even natural gas is under attack for its use of so-called "fracking" technology...and when gasoline hits $4 a barrel and electricity doubles in cost in a couple of years because of this corner ignoramus Obama is painting himself into - his reelection chances will be gone, and maybe we'll finally get a president who wants to help the country thrive by drilling our own oil, mining more clean coal, and building nuclear plants......

Obama’s War on the USA

Submitted by may on Wed, 2011-01-19 00:12

Last week the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shut down Arch Coal’s Spruce Mine No. 1, which is located in Logan County West Virginia. The EPA revoked the mining permit of Spruce Mine No. 1 because Congress and President Obama could not pass effective Cap-and-Trade legislation to harm the coal industry. We can expect more such unprecedented action will soon be coming from the EPA.

The electricity generated by burning coal is still our primary electrical energy source. This electricity is needed to charge the batteries of the unpopular electric vehicles Obama has been pushing Americans to purchase. No matter how much the Left destroys our Texas landscape with ugly, bird-killing windmills, coal will remain the primary producer of electricity in the United States for many years to come.

Obama promised to drive the coal industry into bankruptcy. The attack on Spruce Mine No. 1 is certainly a part of Obama’s battle against coal and other forms of inexpensive and plentiful energy. Closing Spruce Mine No. 1, and wasting $250 million that Arch Coal has already invested in the mining operation, will raise the cost of electrical energy

This action of the EPA has a profound effect on the coal industry and all other businesses in the United States. The EPA approved the mining permit of the Spruce Mine No. 1 four years ago.

The EPA is now a highly effective tool for the Obama Administration to intimidate companies and to cut down investments and money for new development. No private company or private job is now safe.

Obama shut down drilling for oil in our Gulf of Mexico, other offshore areas, and locations in Alaska. The Obama administration scrambles to shut down more of our energy production.

When the cost of oil exceeded $140 a barrel, President George W. Bush quickly brought down the cost of oil to the $30 range by simply opening more offshore oil drilling. Such is not the goal of Obama. China is drilling for oil off the coast of Cuba, and US companies are banned from drilling for that same oil.

Obama’s energy policies have also driven up the cost of food. The diversion of large amounts of our corn crop into energy production not only does not bring down the cost of oil but also raises the cost of food worldwide. Corn as a raw material and as an animal food plays a major role in our economy. Corn and other grain products are in short supply worldwide due to the diversion of corn into fuel production

Our economy is in need of inexpensive and plentiful sources of energy and food. Neither of these are the goals of the Obama Administration.
