His South African passport may have been the problem.
The Department of Homely Security is probably more interested in interdicting nascent “white terrorists” than going after Islamic maniacs.
My guess is if his name was Mohammad Akbar Al-Jihad, they never would have bothered him.

Actually, I think the question is, why is he trying to fly on a South African passport, if he’s British.
I don’t think the suspicion is that he’s a terrorist, but that if he is allowed into the country, he might not leave.

I have a hard time finding sympathy for a kid from a family able to span the globe for mouse fun, when several million American kids already in Califa can not afford to get into the Anaheim park.
Is this kid a mooselimb ?>

Every detail except ensuring that his passport was in order. Idiots.
And if Immigration DID let him in and he overstayed, people would be whining, years from now, that ICE did not do it’s job.

Why did they think this kid was any greater flight risk than any other 9 year old boy?

Is Michael Savage still banned from the UK? If so, then I don’t want to hear whining from their government.

Now, by cracky. Proof that the Janet No-polatino and Homeland Security are finally cracking down on possible UDAs and maybe tourist er terrorist.
Way to go Janet! Stop’em in their tracks.
Why that lil kid could have recked untold havoc on Disneyland or even Disneyworld. Just think about it, cutting in lines,, spilling soda pop and leaving chewing gum wrappers on the ground. Maybe even screaming with delight. And And And he possibly, could have, maybe overstayed his visa.
