Not even sure what the "Environmental Justice" noted in the headline above might be about? It's likely that neither are most other Americans but that doesn't prevent President Obama's EPA administrator, Lisa Jackson, from sending $7 million of the taxpayers' money to dozens of groups mounting academic and propaganda campaigns organized around that theme.
Judicial Watch reports that Jackson's agency announced late last week that the $7 million will be awarded "to study how pollution, combined with stress and other social factors, affects people in 'poor and under-served communities.' The agency refers to it as cumulative human health risk assessment research and the goal is to rid under-served communities of extensive pollution-based problems."
Environmental Justice is a left-wing activist concept in which poor communities are assumed to be more heavily affected by pollution because they are politically defenseless against polluters, and therefore it is up to the government to step in and provide assistance to redress the alleged imbalance.
Obama hasn't often spoken of environmental justice but EPA has been steadily tax dollars to provide supportive funding to groups associated with the concept.
Judicial Watch fills in the blanks on this latest Obama initiative designed to send millions of tax dollars to activists groups whose members are likely to be among his core supporters for his re-election campaign in 2012:

I think they found out about the dangers of sun and heat exposure from walking miles in the desert to reach the border and then continue on walking. I am really not sure what they intend to teach them. Much of this is common knowledge
The EPA must be stopped while we have any industry left.
‘Environmental justice’ never fed a hungry child.
How ‘bout a little taxpayer justice and we defund the piggies down at the EPA. These piggies are out of control.
Neither has "social justice" or any of the other pseudo-justice schemes that the left has invented over the last 50 years.
In other words, it's a program to funnel 7 million dollars to DemocRAT campaigns to pay for ads accusing their Republican opponents as being for polluted air and water.
Brainwashing requires a never-ending effort.
Noone actually pays for environmental wackos so the agency has to keeps its groupies afloat.
EPA should go. It is no longer needed. It is a waste of Tax Money and a hazard to business and free enterprise. Its rules and regulations are toxic.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
“”poor communities are assumed to be more heavily affected by pollution because they are politically defenseless against polluters””
What kind of pollution are we talking about? Surely there are government agencies within these communities and voters who could exercise their rights to hold the POLLUTERS accountable for whatever the transgression is. Or PERHAPS, just maybe - the local politicians are all democrats and see more advantage in allowing problems to continue. What are they? Do they not need to be enumerated to hand out funds to eliminate them? OR do they just need to call themselves activists to get their hands on a pile of money which doesn’t do squat?
There are all kinds of pollution - drug dealing, criminal activities, failure to take an interest in the upkeep of your own property or your landlord’s etc. I don’t see a great interest on any politician’s part to see that those pollutants are eliminated.
“taxpayer justice”
I like that...we’ve been their serfs for far too long. No taxpayer dollars = no EPA money used to shut-down our business’.
The “Ice Age”, the “Stone Age”, and the “Iron Age” have come and gone. Now, only two years after Obama’s inauguration, Industrial Revolution has been dismantled in favor of the “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up Age”, which redresses the imbalances created by the recently discovered poor people’s elevated defenselessness against pollution.
bump.
