Our liberal ruling class has been institutionalizing bizarre, child-warping mutations of the traditional family. It shows up in little ways — like the politically incorrect concept of children having a mother and a father being expunged from passport applications.
"The words in the old form were 'mother' and 'father,'" said Brenda Sprague, deputy assistant Secretary of State for Passport Services. "They are now 'parent one' and 'parent two.'"
A statement on the State Department website noted: "These improvements are being made to provide a gender neutral description of a child's parents and in recognition of different types of families."
After all, the child might have been adopted as a sex slave by homosexuals. Or the kid might have two mommies, one of which is also the daddy. Or the parents might have switched genders.
Sprague helps explain:
"We find that with changes in medical science and reproductive technology that we are confronting situations now that we would not have anticipated 10 or 15 years ago," she said.
Naturally militant homosexuals are delighted.
"Changing the term mother and father to the more global term of parent allows many different types of families to be able to go and apply for a passport for their child without feeling like the government doesn't recognize their family," said Jennifer Chrisler, executive director of Family Equality Council.
Her organization lobbied the government for several years to remove the words from passport applications.
We can only guess what words she will lobby for her fellow travelers in Big Government to remove next.
Moonbattery is a totalitarian ideology. That means no corner of life is exempt from depraved social engineering as they methodically convert our society into a freak show.

This disgusting attempt is purposeful and totally in the lan of liberal activism. They hate the traditional family nomenclature and want it all done away with to legitimize their lifestyle choices. So, in the face of VIOLATING DOMA and other current laws they do such things knowing that their lord and savior Clinton/Obama will allow it and NOT enforce anything to stop it.
Yet another reason to have limited government.....without any radical imbeciles.
(The State Department has been in need of cleaning for a long time now.)
This Parent 1 and Parent 2 is discriminatory.
What if I want to be Parent 1 and he/she to be Parent 2.
Or what if I am Parent 2 and the Mailman is Parent 3?
What is this old-fashioned thinking that there are only 2 parents, anyway?
obama will probably delcare himself Parent 1 for all of us.
Omnipotently he did not require a Parent 2.
Could it be that more “unusual” families are hetero families of divorce? Which parents are the real ones? Which are listed as mother and father?
