According to Tucson Blogger, Jared Loughner Is A Product Of Sheriff Dupnik’s Office
Eyeblast TV / The Blast ( Media Research Center) ^ | 1/10/2011 | Joe Schoffstall

James Kelley, who blogs at The Cholla Jumps, recently published a post titled “Jared Loughner is a product of Sheriff Dupnik’s office” which consists of some pretty damaging information if found to be true.

It reads:

This is the report that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has been dreading since the tragic event on Saturday January 8.

The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.

Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County. Amy Loughner is a Natural Resource specialist for the Pima County Parks and Recreation. My sympathies and my heart goes out to her and the rest of Mr. Loughner’s family. This tragedy must be tearing them up inside wondering if they had done the right things in trying to manage Jared’s obvious mental instability.

To be immediately shoved under the rug by the MSM.

Not this time. We will not allow it. The MSM has gone too far.

I think this whole incident is about to go down the MSM memory hole, never to be spoken of again.

They hit hard, get what they can get...and pretend like nothing ever happened....and wait for the next ‘useable event’.

The truth is completely irrelevant .

We need some good investigative reporters with “balls.” That isn’t FNC.

Had the shooter been prosecuted on his drug arrest, it would have shown up on the FBI files and he wouldn’t have been able to buy the pistol. However, since his mama got him off (what part did Dupnick play in that?), there was no charge listed and the rest is a sad history.

The blogger responded and said that his “source” was within the Pima County Sheriff’s dept. No name though.

Please tell me you aren't that naive???? So if you make something illegal, they aren't going to go out and do it anyways?? Like buying the gun from some low life in an alley?? Lord knows it looks like this kid would never break any laws like say killing 6 people in a crowd.

I heard Sheriff Dupnik’s press conference and I personally thought he disgraced himself and the State of Arizona. I would think that if he were any sheriff at all he would have know about Loungner for some time. If Arizona is in his opinion, touch hole he says it is, he would have had a deputy or two at the Congresswoman's Giffords’ event.

Dupnick is a piker.

words have consequences

Yes, and actions have consequences. The T-Party is a response to the "unconstitutional un-American" actions of the Obaministas.

Bear in mind, the T-Party is not top down. It is not driven by retoric. It is driven by a common bond that made this nation. Not eminating from DC, but from the People of the nation. Not from the "elected leaders", but from the electors.

He should have put a gag order on himself. I will henceforth refer to him as “Dupe” because that it is him to the max.

He does not speak very well, and in my experience he may be the typical Chief that is afflicted with Demon Rum disease.

He is a disgrace, and incompetent to lead. I do not know of any Mayor,City Manager,or Commission or council that would keep this rubber lipped embarrassment in charge of anything.

I think this goes a little bit deeper than this.

It is very possible, even probable, that one of the people this guy recently threatened was Gabrielle Gifford or her staff.

This would explain why someone in Gifford's name subscribed to one of the shooters web pages several weeks ago. The only other subscription Gifford's had was to Congressman Ike Skelton.

There is going to be a can of worms opened up on this one for sure, and the tragedy of this that at some point it will be obvious that it could and should have been prevented if the Tucson Law enforcement had done it's job properly. They had plenty of warning about this guy and they were negligent in protecting the public from a dangerous, mentally unstable individual

Rush pointed out that Dupnik’s rant all but made a case for the defense.

If this case doesn’t at least see the perp swallowed up by the AZ/Fed. system for the next 90 years, Dupnik should be impeached.

I wonder if the Sheriff put County-Employee Backscratching ahead of the public safety interests.

I wouldn't be surprised if everything you've said here is true. In fact, I'd venture to guess that this sort of thing is much more common than you'd ever want to know -- and part of it is because even people in law enforcement find it much easier to live in a state of denial than deal with a problem.

A few years ago there was a series of incidents in a small, wealthy town not far from where I live. They involved a small financial services company that had an outstanding reputation and was getting lots of attention even though they had only been in business for less than a year.

Within less than a month after this business received a "Business of the Month" award from a prominent local civic group, the owner was caught trying to destroy records and burn his building down. The police arrived at the scene and took him into custody, and he apparently went ape-sh!t in the police station and had additional charges filed against him. It turns out his business was all a huge smoke-and-mirrors game, and that was just the beginning.

Within several weeks of his arrest there was a long list of additional charges that had piled up against him -- including multiple cases of passing bad checks at several businesses around town. Several days before the arson incident he was arrested by the local police for "stealing" his own car (he had brought it to a local service station for some repairs, then came back in the middle of the night with another set of keys and drove it away without paying for the work). Stories began to pop up in the local newspaper about a restraining order related to several incidents with an ex-girlfriend, along with several violent incidents at his parents' home with his own family members.

All of these incidents occurred before he received his "Business of the Month" award, and were well-known to most people around that town. The police, in fact, knew to deal with him very carefully when he was arrested on the other charges because they knew of his history.

In a real twist of irony, the local prosecutor ended up dropping nearly all of the charges against him related to the arson case, the bad checks, the "theft" of his own car, and all that. He ended up copping a plea to various embezzlement charges that were brought against him by his former clients, and they figured his sentences would have run concurrently anyway if they pursued the other charges against him.

If you talk to anyone in that town today (just a couple of years later), they'll pretend they never heard of the guy and they'll pretend that business never existed.

It's amazing just how pathological even "normal" people can be when they refuse to face reality.

Not true. I think there is serious action (and liability) against Pima Co. Sherrif’s Dept, and don’t forget some in AZ LEO have a lot of evidence....

WOW no wonder he was so quick to blame the right..that is what progressives do, when they know something is THEIR fault, they project onto others to take the focus off of themselves
