He "doesn't think they're racist" and then commences to accuse them of racism.

A few older people I know voted for Hussein. They watch TV constantaly and are stupid. Typical TV viewers brainwashed by all TV and Fox is only marginally better. Stupid sheep. They traded liberty for a TV clicker.

In which the self-important elites, in this case an arrogant, Leftist POS, continue to demonstrate how little they understand about not only the Tea Party, but conservatives, and larger still, regular American citizens.

The tea party is almost entirely over 55 and white, and the country has changed dramatically as a result of what happened in 2008 and its not going back. Every day that goes on, the demographic change continues, and thats what a lot of this is about. Howard Dean says this kind of thing regularly. Which makes it obvious that he doth protest too much. He's the one flipping out over demographic change.

Dean is, as usual, completely wrong -- or else he's desperately trying to misdirect. This administration is the last gasp of the 50-and-older hippie generation. The younger people even now moving into positions of prominence were kids and young adults during the Reagan era. And they are demonstrably NOT fans of Howard Dean.

So the old 1960s mantra, "Don't trust anyone over the age of 30!" has been updated to, "Don't trust anyone over the age of 55!"?

its the last gasp of the 55-year-old generation . . . a group of older folks whove seen their lives change dramatically. "Socializing" America is the last gasp of communism hiding
behind the disguise of "progressive" and "liberal."

The condescension of such constitutional illiterates simply reveals their ignorance of the vast intellectual abilities of most grassroots American citizens who make up the "Tea Party" movement.
Dean and his ilk in the so-called "progressive" movement subscribe to the counterfeit ideas of Mao, Marx, Lenin and Keynes, overlooking the enduring ideas of liberty so well understood by America's founding geniuses and encapsulated in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. It was those ideas which allowed individual liberty, opportunity, and prosperity to attract millions of the oppressed from all the world.
On the other hand, the philosophy embraced by the "progressives" have produced tyranny by a political elite, lack of opportunity for individuals, and want in every society where that philosophy has prevailed.
America's so-called "Tea Partiers" have taken advantage of new technologies in order to read and study the documents of their liberty and the writings and speeches of the nation's Founders. They are not motivated by fear, as Dean and his cohorts would have us believe. Rather, Tea Partiers are motivated by a passion for liberty not felt on so large a scale since 1776.
So much for his condescension! It merely provides a window to his limited understanding of his nation's source of greatness.

We know that Dean is one of the ‘change’ group that cares less about an established, over 200 years, law of governance than he/they do for a system that belittles human dignity to the feet of glory kings such as Dean and Obama.

I’ll put this right next to that 60 Minutes poll that said that, to cut the deficit, 61% of Americans favor taxing the rich and 20% favor cutting defense, while only 7% combined favor cutting Social Security or Medicare. I mean, the Republicans must be geniuses if they can win with 81% of Americans supporting the Democrats’ fiscal platform.
