UPDATED 1/05/2011
John P. Wheeler III planted incendiary devices at the home of neighbor Frank Marini in New Castle Delaware days before Wheelers body was found in the back of a garbage truck at the Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington. Police found evidence linking John Parsons Wheeler 3d to devices planted at the New Castle home of a neighbor (Frank Marini) with whom he had been feuding, said the source, who is close to the investigation. The feud was over the size of the neighbors house, which was under construction in the citys historic district...

It wasn't about the size of the house, per se, it was about the big house obstructing the Wheelers' spectacular view. This would definitely have caused a drop in market value.
...Besides, I’m sure Marini has an airtight alibi.
“Besides, Im sure Marini has an airtight alibi.”
I’m sure he does. He was out buying more smoke bombs where he bought the previous ones. /s
The article relates information in the public domain and sources it, it doesn't accuse Marini of anything. Lighten up.
Dr.Lew,That was my next step. Looks like a house to me.Shouldn’t be there.Someone was pulling strings.
Yes, that’s the Marini house, and right across the street, that brick house, was Wheeler’s. The guy completely destroyed his view. And it seems a little dodgy that Marini was given a permit to build a mansion in what is a very small park with what appears to be a nice little public beach.
Probably helps to be the nephew of a powerful trucking/ contracting magnate *wink* *wink*.
This story is going to take on a life of it’s own. It’s got me hooked already. This has got organized crime written all over it. Looks like the f*cked with the wrong guy though, as this has gone national.
This matches pretty well with the Google Maps view I posted. I think this is a view from South St. looking from behind the house towards the west. The shape of the house matches the foundation visible in Google Maps, and I think you can see that pine tree in street view if you move east on 3rd St and look back towards South St. Again, the construction hadn’t started yet in the street view scenes, but you can see the high berm along South St. at the house site.
I think the inference is that Saienni is mob, amd Marini “was like a son to me”. From the bold items in the first post - that fits the profile.
Wow, the liberals on Facebook, HuffPo and the like are coming up with some crazy ass theories, all linking back to Bush of course.
I FIGURED IT OUT!!!
I’m thinking of starting a separate thread but for now this thread seems to be the latest on this rather weird murder.
And the reason I figured it out is through viewing the video they had of Wheeler in that parking garage.
HE WAS DRUNK IN THAT VIDEO!!!
He was not “disoriented” or “confused”...the guy was drunk!
Knowing this, let’s talk about that garage attendant, the last guy to see him alive. Always hone on the last to see the victim alive.
I think that parking attendant, the one Wheeler’s dealing with in the garage, asking about his car locale as the news reports have it....maybe with the help of some friends or maybe by himself, but I suspect that parking lot attendant had something to do with Wheeler’s murder.
He had to see this guy was drunk. A possible scenario is that he saw how drunk the guy was, he followed him, he robbed him, violence ensued, not sure why but it happens in these sorts of things....and Wheeler ended up in a landfill.
The cops sure got that parking lot attendant in their cross hairs you can believe it.
Um, no. William Saienni died in 2001, Stefano is his punk grandson with a long criminal record. IMO, the article implies he was involved in the murder.
The parking lot attendant is a woman, and a small one at that. Check the video link below, she is interviewed by Griff Jenkins of Fox News at the 1:25 mark....
Free Republic was talking about the mob angle the day the story broke...

Are any of the ocmpanies listed above near the dumsters?
... it just sounds like they were saying it was an attempted arson. Weird.

I would be willing to bet that someone else put them in there — as a prank, perhaps. If Wheeler wanted to burn down the offending house, he was smart enough, I’m sure, to actually do so.
Just my suspicions based on all I have read: I don’t know the motive, but I am willing to believe that this was a hit somehow connected to his government work. He was assaulted and injected with something that was supposed to kill him.
He turned out to be tougher than the assailant figured and wandered around for a few days until they caught up with him again and finished him off.
Sorry, that’s from the notoriously nutty Sorcha Faal conspiracy theorist
