During the 1-2-10 edition of Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, incoming GOP oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) previewed the tough oversight and spending accountability American taxpayers deserve...and will be delivered by the new House Republican Majority in Congress. Yea baby! Here is the 15 minute video clip.
But where was this train of thought from 2001-2006?
All we’ll hear from the media is that the GOP wants to kill women and children, they’re pulling out the safety net, yada yada yada and the Pubbies will go milquetoast.
I imagine “the homeless” will be getting a lot of ink and camera face time again too. “Those wascally Wepublicans!”
High-wage employment is still being exported over the internet, and neither party is going to do anything about that. The fix is in.
The tax code has far more to do with controlling the population by rewarding and punishing behavior than it does with government revenue. I won't believe any of these ass-hats of either party is serious about reduction of government until they completely revise and simplify the tax code and tie it to a limited percentage of GDP.
Issa was a personal friend of Yasser Arafat and is a steadfast supporter of CAIR. His instincts as a business man cause some of his judgments to be sensible, but his Arab background and connections are dangerous. He is one of those who has long fought profiling by airlines, the reason Israel has had such success protecting its air passengers without invasive body searches. We must remember who our friends are, and who are our enemies in waiting.
Issa is a moderate and balanced voice on the Middle-East and is popular and respected among BOTH wealthy Jewish and Lebanese Americans in Orange County, CA. I don’t think Issa is a particular friend of CAIR or Islamic interests
and his voting record on Israel has been generally good.
By the way, although you will not find anything about his Arab ethnic origins and family history anywhere on his congressional website or the internet, Arab-American
Rahall was my Congress critter back in WV. No friend of America.
