I found out Wednesday that Mr. MWestMom has some blocked arteries. That explains the fatigue, shortness of breath and eventually, the gripping chest pain. I finally talked him into the doc and they wasted no time in testing lungs and heart. Lungs fine, heart has two blocked arteries. So, Wed. the 5th he'll be undergoing angioplasty and hopefully they can fix the issue with stints.
We would appreciate any and all prayers that the procedure is all that is needed and goes well. Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts and prayers!
Ladies, make sure you lean on the mister if he starts seeming more inactive than usual, fatigued, short of breath, has chest pain and mood changes. All of these are signs of impending heart issues. My bub's heart looks very strong, no damage done yet and he's going to feel 100% better after the procedure according to friends who have had it as well. We're so glad he didn't wait until he actually had an attack!
We will pray..My hubby has a stent which restored him to a vigorus life and I know lots of folks who have had this procedure. However, any invasive procedure causes anxiety until it is done and prayer is our support in every situation, always. God Bless and Happy New Year.
You have my prayers. :-)
God bless you and your husband. Prayers are surely up. My FIL had chest pains for some time, finally went in for a check up, and was operated on the very next day — quadruple bypass. You’re so right about leaning on the misters.
Prayers Up! Looking forward to hearing that your husband sailed through the procedure and that you’re both looking toward the healthy new year!
There are some extraordinary new stint technologies coming down the pike from Israel. Prayers up for your husband, and know that the medical procedures are very advanced, very effective, and becoming more so.
He and you are in my prayers. God Bless.
Not to alarm you or anything, but my dad went in for an angioplasty and they pushed a clot through before the heparin was in full effect. Stroked out on the table.
That was a number of years ago and I don’t know if high dose heparin is still a pretreatment.
This is just for your information and my dad made a 90-95% recovery from the stroke. And he’s still going good at 77.
Take it as a suggestion as a question to ask.
It turned out that a second opinion, after the fact, determined bypass surgery was what was needed, not an angioplasty.
Prayers Up!
He’ll come through just fine. He definitely needs to listen to you more though !
You are both in our prayers.
My very good friend has had 3 stents in the last 4 years. He’s been in and out within 3 days of each incident. He felt great after he woke up from the operation. It’s almost like taking out tonsiles these days. Just get a good doctor.
Sending prayers. My father has 9 stents and several angioplasties in his charts, all starting with a triple bypass in the early 80s. That was only supposed to be good for about 10 years, but we’ve been blessed with a double portion, praise be to our Heavenly Father!
Prayers for your husband and for you.
Had the same thing happen to me when I was in my early 40s. Luckily no heart damage then or since. Your husband will be fine. Will say a prayer for him and you (my wife was wreck while the procedure was taking place).
After he’s up and about, have a look at the Pauling Therapy (Vitamin C & Lysine), and fish oil capsules. Just had a nuclear stress test (20+ years since my angio) and passed with flying colors, arteries all nice and clean.
Also pick up a copy of ‘Reversing Heart Disease’ by Dr. Dean Ornish for a slightly different approach.
God bless and don’t worry, it’s a pretty straightforward and safe procedure.
Prayers for a successful surgery and swift recovery.
Prayers are on the way. Please keep us posted, MWestMom.
Joining in with prayers up MWestMom and husband.
Prayers have been sent!
Praying that all goes well.
