I found out Wednesday that Mr. MWestMom has some blocked arteries. That explains the fatigue, shortness of breath and eventually, the gripping chest pain. I finally talked him into the doc and they wasted no time in testing lungs and heart. Lungs fine, heart has two blocked arteries. So, Wed. the 5th he'll be undergoing angioplasty and hopefully they can fix the issue with stints.
We would appreciate any and all prayers that the procedure is all that is needed and goes well. Thank you so much in advance for your thoughts and prayers!
Ladies, make sure you lean on the mister if he starts seeming more inactive than usual, fatigued, short of breath, has chest pain and mood changes. All of these are signs of impending heart issues. My bub's heart looks very strong, no damage done yet and he's going to feel 100% better after the procedure according to friends who have had it as well. We're so glad he didn't wait until he actually had an attack!
I work with these patient post procedure. Complications with stents are rare and I’m sure the docs know what they’re doing.
Prayers going up, I will also light a candle
at Church tomorrow for the both of you.
God Bless!

My prayers are with you and your family. May God wrap you in His love and heal your husband.
Prayers being said.
Prayers for your husband and you.
Prayers for you and your husband.
Prayers for your husband and to guide the hands of his doctor. They are so good at the procedure these days you will hardly notice it. I pray for many healthy and happy years for both of you.
Prayers are up everything will turn out fine.
Prayers for you and Mr. WestMom as he undergoes this procedure on Tuesday. Both my brothers have had it, with success. As I recall, it can be done with only 1 overnight in the hospital, then home.
You are absolutely right about the need to keep on top of their (and our) medical conditions. So much non-invasive testing is available with modern medical technology that is painless and can avoid problems before they become serious trouble.
With many other FReepers, I will pray for Mr. MWestmom.
My dad had the same procedure, and all went well. For all the bashing and trashing they take, American medical people real unsung heroes in my book.
I will pray that God gives them the skill and the wisdom required, and peace of mind to all.
One side effect, according to my Wife's Sister, is that her Husband has no further need for “ahem”, ED drugs.
May you have a wonderful 2011. LOL
Thoughts and prayers going out to the both of you.
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Now there is a happy side effect! You have a wonderful 2011 as well, whacka whacka! The mister is LHAO right now... Thanks for the good news!
My pleasure. Now you kids behave yourselves. Don’t want to wake up the kids, or the dog. LOL
Don’t you just love where these threads end up?
Thank you to all who offered up prayers for Mark’s surgery yesterday. Two stints in one artery and ballooning of two more later and he is doing well and recovering nicely. Hardest part for him was lying flat for 6 hours after two back surgeries.
Thank you again for all of your prayers! We felt them and you have ours anytime you need them! I love Freepers!
