If it’s Palin vs. Obama, I’m not so sure that he would not choose Obama.

Krauthammer got the first part correct, but the second part is just flat wrong. Obama got a lot of his agenda passed into law in December, but it wasn't through any of his own genius or effort. He got this crap passed through the duplicity, arrogance and sheer chutzpah of the lame-duck Democrat Congress, who -- if they had but a single ounce of decency -- would have skulked away in shame at the magnitude of their repudiation at the polls.
But they are both shameless and evil. Make no mistake -- they did this to us. Obama was -- as he always has been -- a clueless beneficiary of circumstances, just as in his original election.
Given that the two Independents (what a joke!) ALWAYS vote with the Dems, I believe the familiar refrain for the next two years will be...
Snowe, Collins, Murkowski, Brown, and Kirk join Dems. Thus they will only need two other votes (Graham, McCain, et al depending on the issue) to reach the magic '60'.
I see the Republican house putting many a bill up to the Senate where they will promptly die or be 'compromised' until they lose their teeth. The bills, I mean.

Most of those losers are not going anywhere and they are still selling out the entire nation's future for pork.
It is how the GOP wound up as the minority party in the first place.

HE HAD A GOOD DECEMBER politically is all Krauthanmer is saying and if you don’t see that then you are either deaf, dumb or blind.
I wasn't refuting that he and his fellow Dems had a good month politically, merely that his efforts weren't the defining factor in getting their vile agenda passed.
