If you don't "LIKE" this video you have no clue what it means to be an American.. Even if you are NOT an American Citizen you should "LIKE" this video because it captures the HEART of what it means to be an American or an ALLY of the United States of America !
May God continue to bless the United States of America !
This is the story our kids need to hear in every classroom in America but sadly the bogus "Separation of Church and State" will not allow it....
.... yet another reason to homeschool

Pass it on ping to all your lists ! May THIS story be on your heart and mind whenever you hear our National Anthem !

Hard to believe there are 22 “DISLIKES” on this video on YouTube.. I don’t care who you are or what Country you are from if you don’t “like” this TRUE story you are clueless !
And maybe he could get all the words right on the next take.
Possibly some of the “dislikes” are due to the fact that the video contains historical errors that detour the viewer away from what really happened.
BTTT
I had to watch it again to catch the “Henry” error but the reference to colony vs state is being a bit too picky IMHO.. Any sunstantial errors that you know of?
Doesn't matter anyway. Now we have 4 republicans who would each call themselves Christians who are pulling that flag down and selling out America , Christians, and the morals of America to allow Homosexuals to destroy our military.
Today that flag is in more danger than it has been since the firing on Ft, McHenry. We have Democrats in Congress that are selling us out every day with their partisanship, and citizens who would give up our sovereignty .
This should be posted on every Mohammedan website that exists! This is the reason that we, as a nation, will NOT surrender to Mohammedanism.
For those leaders, that in their treachery, move us closer to where we, by some supercillious law, become compelled to entertain such a loser’s way of life, as Mohammedanism is, must begin to lose sleep, with every American voice that says, “NO!”
Let those leaders become insomniacs for the rest of their born days.
Long live the Republic!
Where’s the blurry monitor alert?
Horrible video, no excuse for the historical errors
That’s a bit better - but it made it seem the British launched a long range bombardment by design when in fact, there were scuttled merchant ships blocking the intended approach.
Also, Francis Scott Key did not write a song - he wrote a poem, “The Defense of Fort McHenry.” It was put to music later to an existing tune, “To Anacreon in Heaven,” often referred to as a British drinking song.
Key was not there on a government mission for prisoner exchange. He was there for a friend that had been arrested but he did get Pres. Madison's approval first.
Those were errors in just the introduction....
News Flash! Baltimore is on the ocean or at least has direct access to it. Cruise ships leave from there and we had a boat in Baltimore Harbor.
While it is a stirring video, and sets one’s blood ablaze, the story that the flag pole remained upright, though askew due to the bodies of patriots holding it in place, is wonderful theater but historical bunk. The actual casualties were minimal (about a half dozen), and their bodies did not keep the flag pole upright.
I just love the technical analysis of FReepers!... nothing gets past the FR truth detectors ! NOTHING.. I still think this video captures the HEART of what it means to be an American which is the reason I posted it.... A good history lesson (as long as the technical errors are pointed out).
You must visit Fort McHenry and you will then be presented with the true history of that day. It is a very moving moment when the curtains to the darkened room are opened at the end of the presentation to reveal the American flag waving just yards from where you are seated.
If in Baltimore, please make the visit to Fort McHenry. We visited there over the Fourth of July weekend maybe 15 years ago and I still remember the audio-visual presentation- a fascinating story of the battle and the writing of the anthem-at the end a large curtain opened up with a film of a waving flag and a glorious rendition of the Star Spangled Banner boomed out. Goosebumps time. Checked the website and there is a new visitor center.
