The Hudson ObamaCare ruling means nothing.

Memo to Conservative bloggers: Stop celebrating over yesterday's Henry Hudson decision that ruled the individual mandate portion of ObamaCare "unconstitutional". We didn't win anything, we didn't prevent enforcement, and we didn't outlaw the law. I just do not understand all of the excitement.

So what happened yesterday? The Conservative Republican Attorney General of Virginia got a Conservative Republican judge in Virginia, who was appointed by a Conservative Republican in 2002, to rule a portion of the most hated piece of legislation in Conservative Republican history unconstitutional.

"We didn't win anything, we didn't prevent enforcement"

Plenty of time for that later.

We didn't need an injunction against enforcement at this time since the relevant provisions don't take effect for two years.

Timmy doesn't understand ~ if we have one court in one appellate court jurisdiction ruling different than another court in a different appellate court jurisdiction, the case goes to the Supreme Court (if Virginia asks for that to happen, and I think they are asking ~ (NOTE: in the Piedmont that'd be "axing" for it.)

(Just to be clear).

We won absolutely nothing yesterday, except vindication of our arguments to repeal the awful law, which everyone with two brains already realized.

Doesn't the word except above mean we won something?

Not sure of this either: Does everyone have two brains?? I thought we just have one brain.

The ruling is just the first step to getting this thing repealed. It’s like we tied up a football game by scoring a touchdown in the first quarter.

Unfortunately - SCOTUS and the rest of the judiciary think we serfs have no standing.

Well, he's correct, but it is a step in the right direction.

The old Chinese saying is very true, " A journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step".

Don't get too excited, one way or the other, but don't get too discouraged.

We did OK. The conflicting rulings move the case
toward SCOTUS and the bill has no severability
clauses. If we win on the merits, the whole bill
fails.

They are already talking about letting the Obamacare continue without the mandate. It appears the theory “that if one section is unconstitutional the whole bill is dead” is on the ropes. The judicial criminals will ram it down our throats if they can.

The judicial criminals will ram it down our throats if they can.

And they can because we have a corrupt Court. We also have some corrupt Republicans that have been hiding behind the courts for years, while they implement their true agenda, and claim innocence.

I would put Jeb Bush in that category for sure.

We certainly have a problem. I agree, the courts are corrupt.
We had a constitution with a “limited” government, but they just moved everything under the commerce clause so they could have their precious tyranny.

First off if you have a civil matter to pursue in the federal courts more than 1/4 million bucks must be at issue.

Then, there's the lengthy waits.

Did you ever get the idea that maybe the federal courts systems weren't designed to do Justice of the Peace type work?

If they enact this with no requirement that all be involved, can you imagine what will happen to premiums of the insured? This has to be all or nothing which makes 2011 repeal an imperative!
