Bill Clinton Bailing Out Obama – Again!
Liberty Juice ^ | 12/13/2010 | Chris Bounds

In the midst of what seems to be a Democrat mutiny with President Obama over his tax deal with Republicans, Obama decided once again it’s time to pull out the ace up his sleeve –Bill Clinton.

It is not uncommon for an organizational leader to seek help and advice. Sometimes a fresh, outside voice is better able to communicate an idea than the person who is responsible for it. In the case of the gridlock in Congress over Obama’s tax deal what better choice is there to unify Democrats than former President Clinton? After all, Clinton is still very popular among Democrats, he is a skillful politician, and he has always come through for Obama when summoned in the past.

Last Friday Obama quickly introduced Clinton as “the other guy” and gave him the podium to work his magic. Normally this would not be interesting news, but about ten minutes into the press conference Obama chimed in stating, “I’ve been keeping the first lady waiting for about a half an hour so I’m going to take off. You’re in good hands and Gibbs will call last questions.” Here is the video clip courtesy of The Blaze:

When I saw this headline last Friday I was hit with a common sense moment. Surely Michelle Obama would have understood if the President went a little long working for the American people – right? They do not believe that a Christmas party takes precedence over passing the plan Obama initiated in order for millions of cash-strapped Americans to avoid slapped with the highest tax increase in history during a recession – do they?

I cannot say for sure what was going on in the President’s mind at that time, but we do know that he likes to party. However, I think there is a bigger story here and it is one that many Americans have been keenly aware of since Barak Obama surfaced in the media as America’s messiah three years ago.

President Obama called “the other guy” for one reason – Clinton actually knows what he is doing! Before being elected Senator of Illinois, Obama had not been in charge of anything as small as a convenient store. With such lack of experience how could he possibly learn how to be the leader of the free world on the job?

Obama could be oblivious to this fact, but a part of me believes that he knows that he is as out of his league as his critics have claimed. If he understands that he lacks the savvy leadership and political skills needed to pull off his own tax plan, doesn’t it make clear sense to call Clinton to pinch hit for him? It would not be the first time he has done this:

Flashback #1: Obama summons Clinton for last minute campaign help

"Barack Obama yesterday made a belated personal appeal to Bill Clinton for advice on how to fight back against a resurgent Republican presidential campaign. The lunchtime meeting in New York between the Democratic party’s two towering figures came amid growing despair at Obama’s slide in the polls in the past week. Democratic figures are openly expressing fears that he does not have a strategy to counter the rising appeal of John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin…"

"Clinton extended the lunch offer to Obama about a week ago – before Palin began to energise the Republican base – after waiting for months for the Democratic candidate to get in touch. If they had met earlier it would have been characterised as Obama meeting Clinton from a position of strength, but it now adds to the sense of Obama being on the defensive and needing help in putting his campaign back on course."

"Obama said Clinton had been successful in reaching out to people in 1992 on the economy and he would like to use him in that role in this campaign, telling people “why we need to change the economy in a fundamental way so it works for middle-class families, so that they can get ahead, so that they can send their kids to college. I think he can be a great advocate on behalf of the campaign,” he said."

Flashback #2: Clinton comes to the rescue to help pass ObamaCare

“I’m for the public option because I think there needs to be some competition here,” said Clinton. “Yes, I favor a public health option, Yes, I favor the efforts the administration has made to get the drug companies, the hospitals, and everybody else, to chip in and give up some of their projected future increases based on rampant inflation. And yes, I favor organizing a society so that old people stay healthier and young people don’t get diabetes. Otherwise we will pass this health care plan and five years from now we will be back to the drawing board.”

"The remarks come at a time when the debate over health care, and a public option in particular, is moving towards a crucial juncture. Clinton, perhaps more than any other pol, can understand the tenuousness of the current debate. Despite having widespread public support for a health care overhaul, his process fell apart amidst disunity within the Democratic Party and distrust of his White House’s approach."

"Sixteen years later, he displayed a calm confidence that health care reform will be passed. Twice in his speech, Clinton referenced the fact that Democrats in the Senate now have the 60 votes needed to stem off a filibuster attempt by Republicans."

Assuming my take on this is correct, a much bigger question should be posed. If Obama is willing to leave Clinton at the reins so he can attend a party, who else has Obama been willing to delegate significant power to? The labor unions like Richard Trumka or Andy Stern, who is one of the most frequent visitors to the White House? Van Jones, Obama’s former Green czar and a proud communist working diligently to call the progressive base to arms? How about George Soros, who controls virtually every progressive organization that put Obama into office and does his dirty work to advance the progressive agenda?

Who knows, but remember, “You’re in good hands.”

From the first day I saw this worthless pos marxist muslim homo thug on tv, I said he was an empty suit. Obama should be arrested, tried for treason and brought to justice by a jury composed of the military families who lost loved ones thanks to Obama’s stupid rules of engagement.

I’ve always had trouble figuing out Obama. Is he craving dictatorship or is he a mouthpiece for someone else (like Soros)? Seems to me that he’s become more and more the latter. The socialist agenda is in disarray and I bet Obama’s handlers, seeing the writing on the wall, have turned to Clinton to bail their puppet out.

Good article. Thanks. Barry “You’re in good hands” Obama and William Jefferson Criminal. Two of the most deceitful, destructive presidents in the history of the republic. POS scumbags like these two and their sycophants would turn any lesser country into a totalitarian dictatorship. Disgusting that we have come to this.

Can you imagine if George W. Bush would have called in his Dad for advice, and then at the joint press conference say he had to go attend to domestic duties, and leave George Senior to answer press questions for 45 min? The press would have slaughtered him. There would never have been a second term.

I have a yellowing Newspaper I kept at my Desk from Dec 20th 1998. Headline “Clinton Impeached”. It would be so sweet to add one more Newspaper to that collection.

It's pretty obvious that he's just a puppet and someone did some heavy math to figure that he could win...It meant getting the whole of the black vote and picking up a big portion of Hillary's (Bubba's) womens' vote.

It also meant extending voting by adding absentee votes beyond the normal "not available" criteria.

Hillary must be laughing her a** off and wishing that she had thrown the pan harder because Bubba (IMHO) in this situation is really mocking Hillary (rather he means to or not).

I cannot figure why clinton is helping him. If hillary really wanted the presidency in 2012 why wouldn't bill let nobama fail on his own?

It could have something to do with making 0 look like the incompetent rookie he is, but it wouldn’t take that much. There’s no way Bill could not take the opportunity to stand behind that podium with the cameras rolling. That’d be like water running uphill.

Clinton should just tell Obama to stay in bed and run the country. Obama would probably prefer that.

Oh brother. Don’t even put Clinton in the same category as OBama. Obama has ruined the country. Clinton lied once and got a BJ.

You might be right, but Bill Clinton has other fish to fry. He's doing Hillary's bidding. Hillary isn't quite ready to jump yet, so Bill is helping her "carry him for a few rounds."

I'm thinking Hillary has her hands full right now with the Wikileaks scandal. She needs to put that fire out & spin it back on Obama, since it was he that allowed the release to happen in the sure knowledge that it would hit previous administrations hardest (Clinton's too).

Don't forget another thing... Bill Clinton was very popular with Black Voters. Hillary might be working this connection since that voting bloc is very cool to her and the biggest obstacle for her getting the nomination away from Obama.
